I don't think Kobe will win this year but its Kobe and with somewhat like Dwight to compete with on a daily basis I could see him having a shot to win it. At the same time who knows he might be smart and just realize he needs to get the ball to Dwight so he can win number 6.

Irving has potential. I can't begin to imagine a scenario where David Lee or Granger wins the award. Bosh would need Wade and Lebron to get injured for > half the season and then carry the team to a top 2 finish in the east by himself to even be in the conversation. Bosh isn't that good

But I do think it's LeBron's to lose this year. Howard is going to have a breakout scoring campaign I bet as long as Kobe lets Nash and Howard run the pick and roll I could see Howard in that 25 and 14 range winning defensive player of the year and in the top 3 for MVP.

If LBJ doesn't win MVP every year for the next 5 years, they just plain got it wrong. I'm not even a huge LeBron fan, but the guy is the best in the game and nobody is really even close at the moment. Jordan should of won a lot more regular 'season MVP's and seems the voters will do the same with Lebron

D Rose over Lebron maybe, IF he can stay healthy.
Lebron is a physical specimen, but not the best PLAYER.
But, very tough to argue against, especially as his shot keeps getting more consistent. -
