I know this is a bit early but I would like to get a decent idea on who might be comming this year. Finally nice to have it in our own house instead of the townhouse.
The Mentals are proud to offer our <STRIKE>3rd </STRIKE>4th annual Thanksgiving day feast for those who live in Vegas who may not be able to make it home for the holiday.
Just a partial list of foods below:
2 Turkeys (20 + lbs each)
2 Full Turkey Breasts (2-5lb breast only)
10 lbs of Mashed Taters and Gravy
5 lbs of Potato salad
5 lbs + of FLB Yams
Greeenbean Caserole
And all the rest of the trimmings as usual.

Should start scarfing down bout 4-5 p.m.
pics from last year

My first plate (1 of 3)

plate 2 and 3. Yes we used HD paper plates since besides all the cooking I also do the dishes as well.

Turkey #1. Dont mind the mess.

I'm kind of a freak and don't really like any traditional thanksgiving food... but if I am not working that evening I would love to come over and at least chill with you guys!
I won't know my schedule til the Friday before, but I won't be eating either way. I'll keep you posted. -
flying out to be there.
-
I just wanted to let you know I think it is amazing that you do this.
I dont get along with my family so me and my mom use to hid from them or go to Lawnwood Gardens. This year I get to do the whole family thing with Raiden's family, I am super nervous.
I hope that you guys have a great Thanksgiving because you deserve it for being so generous. -
LL yeah you are more than welcome to come over later to hang out. That night is the night my girls put on the xmas lights (I have already started decorating cause it will take me a month).
Ces, Thankz. We have done this cause we are not close to our families at all and know how tough it is when you cant/wont go back to see family. We didnt know this would become a yearly thing but I have always felt bad for people that are alone during the holidays. -
hahaha well that wouldnt be the best reason imo. Family is important. As we have posted in the past we have such limited contact with our families due to the fact that almost all of them are alcoholics. We started doing this 4yrs ago and it has become a "family tradition" so to speak to invite people who otherwise wouldnt get a home cooked holiday meal.

The Chazmental Family = Awesome!

god that first pic has me sooo excited for this year
great idea as always, friends are always a close second to family on holidays and no one should be alone on thanksgiving -
Im starving after reading this thread.

wp as always Chaz
I'm not a fan of Thanksgiving food, but maybe it's just because my mom doesn't know how to cook it lol. -
looks great chaz, very cool of you...I think I'm going to try a turducken this year.
-
Need a ruling plz.

lol that is the EXACT reason I do all the cooking. Shaunne has a few things she makes really well like her lasagna and some of her dishes that go along with Thanksgiving dinner. Other than that I do all the cooking and grilling.
-
thanks for the invite chaz but i think my gf would disown me, i already told her no to going to florida w her family. if i went to LV, id die
-
I missed Thanksgiving last year and I still haven't gotten over it I cant understand why you dont like the food ......mind bottling
