Lol at needing work with 5 mill. You'll be too busy banging strange gold diggers
-
I really don't know how this is even close. Our company outsources our data entry jobs to Manila and one of my counterparts over there knows 4 languages and works for like $400/month, from 10pm to 7 am, with an engineering degree.
5 mil please -
anyone dumb enough to take the languages is by default, dumb enough to choose pig latin as one of his five.

.
why would you want a job when u can have $5M, you dont need a job anymore? if you want something to do go open a business with your $5M
edit: got beat to it while i was typing -
I can buy a chick from Russia who speaks 5 languages
-
I would say like 50grand, maybe more like 100. Its a shitton of work to become fluent, and knowing french, spanish, haitian creole, mandarin, and japanese would be siiiick.

the real question is how would you rank the languages.
Spanish > French > mandarin > arabic > japanese > portuguese > hindi > german > russian IMO. -
youre doing it wrong.
you could learn spanish or french in a summer.
chinese, arabic, japanese are way harder to learn and less Americans can do it -
I'd take 450 for a new hard drive cuz no matter how much I cclean this shit of a thread could never be erased.
-
Then take the money and learn a few languages. Is this a trick question? I want to learn Austrian.
-
Most educated Filipinos probably speak at least 3 languages. English, Tagalog, and their local dialect.
-
I talk with them over our office communicator and the phone occasionally and am working on learning Tagalog (it will be like a third grade level, but I can hold a some what functioning conversation). I've become pretty close with a few of them and really hope I get the chance to visit.
-
If it were $1,000,000 or 5 languages I'd flip a coin. You guys that haven't really travelled outside your country don't know how much money, how far ahead you can get, and what kind of awesome jobs you can get with this kind of knowledge.

Edit...yes, well educated people from Asian countries do speak at least two languages....the thing you need to remember is that when you're from a country where the 1st language is English you would literally have the world at your finger tips....Russia, China (dialect package?), Japan, India (dialect package?), and the other is a toss up....with the smallest of business knowledge you could/should be able to KILL it out there in the world.... -

God damn you OT people are brutal. If my thread bores you, GTFO maybe?
why the fuck are they teaching kids history and biology? 12 years of languages and everyones a millionaire -
Why can't you learn the languages whether you take the money or not?
-
This question is very age relevant as well....

A $1,000,000 isn't exactly retiring money at my age...Becoming fluent at five additional languages in your late 20's would probably be an impossible feat...
There is an unbelievable amount of money that one can make in the Tourism industry with this knowledge. -
5 mirrion is an absurd number.
I know 3 languages and my "brother" knows 3 I will never understand.
He is from Saigon. We don't make much money. -
Edited By: quietwinner Apr 25th, 2012 at 03:45 AMand youd have to work for it lol. gimme 5 mil and im set for life anyway by buying a couple franchizes or something that would require like 0 effor.Originally Posted by ealltheway

snap call 5 mil and say thanks you dumbass aliens...anymore brainbusters?
edit: to not take money, id say like 250k tops. 250k isn't really shit and 5 languages would def be more valuable. 500k would be close but i prob take money and invest. -
Obv not directed at me Hughes?
We make money, but to think that you can speak to poor people in 6 different languages doesn't equal 5 million. You get laid more, but you don't get paid. -
5 mil is the obvious answer but people saying they'd never have to work for the rest of their lives are insane. If you're in your 20's or 30's 5 mil isn't going to last you till death.
-
laid...and AIDS'd.
nah I wasnt on you lol. -
Coin flip and quality control obv
