I’m starting a year-long UFC pickem league. The entry fee will be $500+$25. $25 per entry will go towards making and maintaining the website during the entire year. I’ve already made an agreement with my usual webmaster and would rather not get cheaper volunteers in this thread. As of now, the website is planned to be automated to where each person will have their own login/account to submit confidential picks that won’t be displayed until 24 hours prior to the upcoming event. All picks must be submitted 48 hours before each event. All standings will be updated in a timely manner after each event. I’ll only take payment on FullTilt, and I’ll pay the winner(s) on FullTilt. You can have as many entries as you want.

The rules are as follows:
1. All UFC events will be eligible whether PPV or not.

2. Each player will submit a winner for each fight and will get awarded points as follows:
a.) 1 point per correct fight on the undercard (any fight not on the original main card even if it is later shown on the main card)
b.) 2 points per correct fight on the main card
c.) 3 points per correct main event (co-main event will not be included)
d.) Each underdog you pick correctly will earn double the above points only if the underdog is +150 or more. Any less than +150 will not be considered for double points. (underdogs will be declared at least a week in advance for each card and posted on the website)

3. Payouts will be as follows:
a.) 1-9 players: person with the most points wins 100% of prize pool
b.) 10-19 players: 1st place 75%, 2nd place 25%
c.) 20-29 players: 1st place 70%, 2nd place 20%, 3rd place 10%
d.) 30-39 players: 1st place 65%, 2nd place 20%, 3rd place 10%, 4th place 5%
e.) 40+ players: 1st place 60%, 2nd place 20%, 3rd place 10%, 4th place 7%, 5th place 3%

4. First event will be UFC 118 on August 28th, 2010

5. Final event will be the last UFC event of February, 2011

6. In the event of a tie at the end of the year, the person with the most correct picks throughout the year will break the tie. If it's still tied, they will split the money for the place(s) shared.

I’ll take entries up to August 25th at midnight. The rules and scoring system are final now. The price is also final. The website, the way picks are submitted, the timetable to submit picks, and the timetable to show everyone’s picks publicly may be subject to change in a reasonable manner.

I will be holding all money for the duration of the year. If you have any worries about this, I’m well-known in the online and live poker community. I have backed over 100 players in the last 3 years. I’ve held money for numerous contests and could get several high stakes poker players to vouch for my honesty.

If you have any questions, please ask here or message me privately. Will let everyone know when the website is finalized. I’m expecting that by mid August.

Oh I misread the op and thought ppl were entering 3 times. I still might be interested but it will be near the deadline before I know for sure.

It's been brought to my attention that there needs to be a line drawn for underdogs. I've decided to make that line +150 and greater. I agree that slight underdog picks should not be rewarded double points. I will edit rules now to say double points only count for underdogs that are +150 or more using whatever lines I decide to use as the contest nears.

Ex: If someone is +145, they will not earn double points if they win. If someone is +150, they will earn double points if they win.

Interested. I also vouch for chemist. I know him IRL and have done transactions with him in the past, online and in person. He staked me for a few months as well.

if worse comes to worse, i'll take your UB towards the deadline.. I'd suggest posting in the funds tradings thread in poker discussion though.. i don't want to make too many exceptions by taking funds on sites other than FTP.
