It's time for the 2012 Football Handicapping Challenge!
Edited By: Tread Aug 14th, 2012 at 08:34 PM
Please respond ITT if you are going to be interested in playing this year. The contest will be run exactly as it has in past year, as it seems to be to the liking of the vast majority of players. As with past years, I will keep all of the data and lines on a separate website so that you can reference it at any time.

FB: https://www.facebook.com/groups/foot...pingchallenge/ (request approval to join group, it is protected to prevent spam)
Twitter: @2012FHC
For any n00bs interested in playing, I will only provide very brief cliff notes here, as you absolutely should not participate in this contest unless you FULLY READ THE CONTEST RULES available at the website. I am happy to answer any questions ITT or on FB if you have them.
You will be picking 6 games a week for 18 weeks for a total of 108 selections, centered around NFL preseason last week and weeks 1-17 along with surrounding college games. You may mix college or pro games in any way, some people play all pro and others play all college, some mix each week. Lines will usually be set around Tues night and pix MUST BE IN THURS NIGHT. Lines never change, everyone is afforded the same angles after they are set.
Winner is determined on win%, not total wins, as this would represent who made more money IRL wagers.
There is a $50 contest and a $200 contest, however, in order to enter the $200, you must also enter the $50, so you are either in for $50 or $250 in total. There is a link for info on submitting payment on the website. Payment must be submitted in order for you to participate in week 1, which will start around Aug 27 with 1st game Aug 30.
If you are the sort of person who likes to complain about rules after the fact or do not trust yourself to be able to remember EVERY week to send in pix, PLEASE do not join this contest. We regularly have 50-60 people in the $50 contest every year and 98% of participants enjoy the format and are able to follow the rules, so this is how the contest will continue to be run. Not all contest players are on OT, and anyone is welcome to play via Facebook as well, but you will always be able to see what everyone is playing in the detailed contest spreadsheet kept on the website if you are ever interested. I do try to re-post all non OT plays here as well.
