only game tonight is Pitt @ Cincy, line is up to -5 or -5.5 for Cincy most places

only game tomorrow is Utah @ Utah St with the Utes sitting at -7.5 right now
saturday slate looks kinda weak, but still some good matchups out there. most looking forward to UW/LSU, UGA/Mizz, Florida/aggy, and Miami/KSU -
Maryland vs Temple deserves its own thread imo.
Now that I looked at the board....not many intriguing matchups at all.
Doesn't mean I wont be gambling tho. : ) -
Seen a lot of discussion on Pitt/UC tonight, some bookies complaining that 95% of action is coming in on Cincy.
Pitt should not have lost last week's game to be sure, but apologists are saying they overlooked the game due to it being nonD1 and having Cincy to play the next Thurs on a short turnaround. While this may explain a poor performance, when you look at how some Big10 teams handled YSU recently, it is hard to excuse an outright loss. Have to wonder if all the coaching changes they've had over the last 18 months have affected the roster and psyche.
UC was the funnest team in college to watch when Brian Kelly was there. I'm not sure about this Butch Jones offense yet, we will see when they roll out several new guys at skill positions tonight. QB Munchie Legeaux (most allsome name in football) did get some good experience last year, so they aren't completely green. If the defense plays as well as it did last year, I have to think UC covers here. -
saw 80% or so on Cincy when I checked earlier....almost making you take Pitt and the points
-
One thing to note is Pitt was without six players last week. I'm not sure if they all will play tonight though. With that said i still think Cincy wins. Personally, i'm intrigued by the SEC matchup's of UGA/Mizzou and UF/Texas A&M.

I'm also looking forward to Utah tuning up tomorrow night for Pac12 mediocrity with a team that their fans would otherwise be talking up as a NC contender if they still played in the WAC/MWC wtfever. They do have a beastly DL top draft pick type and the game has an unusually high total for a team with such a good run D, the only team in the Pac12 that even pretends to play defense. -
I love Pitt in this game and am leavin it +3.5 in Tread thread even though the line is 6 which I normally wldnt do. Couple things here. First, Pitt coach sat a ton of plys from game 1 b/c he didnt' think they cld lose the game.
2. This game line came out at 3.5 and I even saw a couple of 3's. No way does Vegas put out a small number on the only primetime game when they know everyone is going to jump on Cincy unless there is a reason. I don't know much about either team but I do know trends and this looks like a huge tarppppp game. I am sure after posting this Cincy wins by 21 but I am stickin with Pitt -
Florida St. 70.5 pt fav vs Savannah St. ... lol Savannah lost 84-0 to Ok St. last week, does anyone think Savannah will actually cover this? I hate to leave this untouched bc if Savannah somehow got a miracle TD or 2 they would def cover.
-
Georgia should be interesting. Mizzu getting the reverse love but treads thread even some sharper ppl aren't having it. Easily game of the week and Waco will be rooting against us.
-
def not touching mizzou game. could go either way, but gun to my head i think georgia wins by 10+.
and i almost took savannah last week, i think they were like 58 point favorites. i figured a bunch of new guys on offense for ok st., if savannah scores 6-10 points they cover easily. good thing i didnt, they were down 35-0 after 1q i think, maybe 42-0. that said, ill prob take em 70.5. that is a fucking shit ton of points to cover. if they don't cover, itll be by under a TD. savannah you will only sweat the 4th quarter. FSU you will sweat every drive because they pretty much will have to score every possession putting up 3 scores a quarter. -
Okie st pulled their starters after 1 quarter... Savannah has won 2 games since 09

Lets not act like we can cap that game by whats going to happen on the field, none of us have any clue what the FSU strategy will be once they go up like 50... Its a good time to let your backups run the schemes tho, and that might involve continuing to score TDs -
9-1
Pitt +5 -
I keep hearing 70.5 and on every site Ive looked at its 64 which is big diff obv. Agree with twk on not handicappin it
-
Overlooking 1st game of the season? Da fuck. I feel like YSU beats Pitt 3-5 times out of ten this year. Its not like we squeeked by.

Really wish the UW/LSU game was in Seattle... We have a top 25 team this year but our first half of the season is rough 3-3 at best prob 2-4 then have to win 5 of 6 to make a bowl game :(

@LSU
Portland State
Stanford
@Oregon
USC
The Stanford game is winnable so 3-3 at best? :(
Reason: I suck at grammer -
BOKE I didn't say I agreed with it, just that there were lots of Pitt apologists saying that online. You are right tho that YSU really took them apart, it didn't look fluky from the stats or highlights, several sustained drives. And from the 1st play we just saw here, it seems Pitt has some fundamental D problems.
-
Sorry Tread, that wasnt directed at you but at the statement. Im starting to think YSU could win 8/10 and the win wasnt even that big lol.
Sidenote: Exact reason I suck at Sports betting, I get hot on the weekend and than dump it all on one game.
Wow this might get really really ugly...Pitt looks as bad as Savannah St -
Pitt
Killin it. -
Maybe you want to run near the goal from now on.
-
pitt falks
-
Welp, time to start looking at Utah/Utah St. Id say. Where is DWare94 for his input? I was shocked to see the O/U in the 50s, think this is a clear under play as USU is unlikely to score much at all on Utah's (relatively) beastly D-line.
-
Wow, terrible clock management and play calling. The QB isn't a freshman, way to not get any points out of that!
-
pitt 2H anyone? As bad as they played and they are only down 17....
