So im freshly baked watching Family Guy and one of these "above the influence" commercials come on, the one where the dog is talking to this girl and is saying how she is different and shit.
My first thought was the person who thought of this ad must of been high and the second was how bad they attack stoners. Calling millions of people across the world losers and nobodies is basically what these commercials are all about.
I think National Youth Anti-drug ads should go after other more dangerous drugs or even alcohol which seems to be a bigger problem in the demographic they target.
Anyone else have problems with these commercials? -
I don't think they really attack stoners that much. (although I am not one so maybe it doesn't seem that offensive since it doesn't relate to me) I always think they are just mostly lame commercials but do make their point, which is reasonable.
marijuana is largely considered a harmless drug and they are just trying to show that it isn't always harmless.
afterall, it is illegal (whether it should or shouldn't be is a whole difft. issue).
Perhaps the weed just makes you a little sensitive....can I get you a kleenex? -
haha. wp. after reading my post it does sound like I take the commercials personal but i just believe there are bigger fish to fry if you are funding ads to keep kids off drugs

omfg i hate those commercials. Whats worse tho is this thing on their website called "stoners in the mist" where its like a fake documentary about the lives of "the elusive stoner" Check it here.

The herb ones make me lol sometimes.
Anyone have some crazy meth commercials where they are? Here in Phoenix those things scare the fuck out of me. They are downright creepy and send a no pulling punches message.
