If anyone has voted absentee before please help me out. I just got my ballot in the mail today and it says that my signature has to be witnessed by a "notary or other officer required by law to administer oaths" or my vote won't be counted. Can I just have any lawyer sign here or do I need to go to an office and have a notary seal put on it?
I do know how to use google but I couldn't find this info anywhere. Thanks for your help. -
I'm not sure. I assume various details and rules vary state by state. If I was you I'd probably call county election board if they have a phone# or maybe you're local Democratic or Republican headquaters.
