Ouch, Tiger's approach on #1 hit the pin and bounced about 30 feet away.

really fucking tired but can't stop watching TIGER...although the 2 am showing of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia on comedy central just came on...toss up
-
quietwinner, nice level.

ok i should have clarified. WATCHING rory>tiger. at least for me, im prob in the minority in the US, but world wide theyre prob about tied, i could be wrong.
obv stats wise/career wise its not even close, although i would put money down that when its said and done rory might have more majors. but if i had to choose one of them to follow for a round its be rory mcilroy -
Ok that makes more sense. I still dont think there is much better than watching Tiger in contention on a Sunday afternoon. There is just such a buzz when Tiger is playing well.
I would honestly be surprised if Rory even makes it to double figures in the Majors. -
Watching Rory on Thurs or Fri is probably a good idea, but Sat/Sun following any group other than Tiger's when he's in contention is a mistake.

McIlroy might win as many majors in his career as Tiger wins from here on out, but not really likely he even wins more than Phil in his lifetime. Tiger was so dominant in the early 2000s that he won almost half the tournaments he entered. In 2000 alone, Tiger won 3 majors. Rory isn't dominant over the field today, nor has he shown the psychological strength even when he's playing well to be a consistent winner. -
right, but hes still really young, and how long has it been since tiger won one? like 5 or 6 years now?
i can def see rory winning 1/year or like 1 every 5 majors until he retires. dude goes out and doesn't play good and is still usually a few under and close to tops of the leaderboard.
watching tiger back in 2000s isn't even close, obv that was amazing. but right now? im gonna follow rory, tiger just isn't as exciting anymore. part of the thrill was tiger throwing clubs and getting super pissed. def not the same athlete/competitor, and right now mcilroy is better imo -

That being said, defending Tiger is no fun. I agree that Rory is fun to watch, but for the same reasons as Phil, Anthony Kim, Darren Clarke, or other 'Tin Cup' players that will put a tournament on a shot even when it might not make much sense. Also starting to become a fan of Ben Crane, although he's not a superstar, his videos are hilarious. The drama around watching Tiger got a little too tabloid.Originally Posted by quietwinner

Tiger might be the most clutch athlete ever. Apart from Eli obv
Watching the tennis but just seen on twitter that Sergio got a hole in one. Would love for Sergio to have a big year. -
Mcilroy throws in way too many days like today to really dominate imo. Feels like he makes more doubles and triples than any other top player
-
Tiger goes 70/69 to start and is tied for 4th. 3rd round will tell a lot about where his game is right now.
-
tiger will win... anyone wanna throw out any wagers?
-
funny because Ben Crane plays golf at the speed of a "slow boar"
-
Brandt Snedeker wins the Farmers Insurance Open...SHIP IT
-
Tiger's swing right now is an extremely positive sign. His putting, however, is very concerning.
Say what you want about "he'll figure it out for sure as long as the swing is fine," and I do believe that he will -- but it's still very concerning going forward. He's lost a handful of majors because his putting sucked. -
he lost a handful of majors or he didn't win a handful of majors? there is a difference and I believe its the latter.
-
My boy Brandt...shredding the North Course as we speak...a-thank you
-
I'm playing Keegan Bradley today - he's -5 through 11 so hopefully keep that up, because my other guys are bleh... -2/e/e so far today
