Here are the NCAA national Champions. Count them up.

Alabama 13 1925, 1926, 1930, 1934, 1941, 1961, 1964, 1965, 1973, 1978, 1979, 1992, 2009 Alot of the early ones have 3 or so teams also as national Champs.

better than making up some bogus "people's national champions" in 2004 like Awbarn did....That's 13 championships as voted or ranked appropriately. If 13 seems like too many, then just say 8. Still better than most. We won 8 outright, but the other 5 were shared titles.

AUbsessed, and no, your 1941 claim where you finished like 25th in the country and 4th in the SEC or whatever is not better then AUs "people's national champions" claim (and I was in school at AU in 2004, and don't remember that). Are you talking about Tubs giving his players rings?
