  2. You realize the decade ended last year right?
  3. Lateralus?
  4. Decade ended last night...2000 was the end of the previous decade. The gregarian calender, which is what we use started with year 1. So years 1-10 (1991-2000, 2001-2010, etc) are decades. Thus any submission for this in the year 2000 would fall under the last decade.
  5. I've only heard of 3 out of your top 10.

I nominate Bon Iver - For Emma, Forever ago

  13. I hardly ever listen to rock made after like 1985 because it's just so bad. Here are some albums this decade that I really liked...

    Deftones - White Pony
    Rush - Snakes and Arrows
Chevelle - Wonder What's Next and This Type of Thinking Could Do Us In
Mastodon - Leviathan and Crack the Skye
    Metallica - Death Magnetic
Megadeth - The World Needs a Hero

    Probably a few more I can't remember

The Marshall Mathers LP is ranked 377th on that list...get that shit out of here
  15. Lady Gaga is the correct answer. Doubt anyone had more of an effect on the music industry in a long time.
  16. I haven't listened to many whole albums from last decade so maybe my opinion is moot, that being said I think The Black Keys deserve a mention, any album really, all of them are good, raw rock and roll. Also, Modern Times by Bob Dylan.
  17. hard to argue with White Pony. Sick album.

There is definitely an 'elitism' at work in these sorts of lists - pretty sure if they could find some album that sold zero copies, they would be racing to their keyboards to praise it as the greatest work of the century.
