Alcohol and Antibiotics

    Medical advice please.

    I'm currently taking 500mg Flucloxacillin. I'm off out in a couple of hours. Is it safe for me to drink alcohol? Will it affect the drug's performance?

    It is my understanding that alcohol negates the effects of antibiotics. Safe? yes. Smart? no.

    i ask the doctor this question once and he said that drinking alcohol has no effect on the antibotics. but that i still shouldnt drink because alcohol hurts your bobys own natural healing ability.
