all of a sudden..no friends?! wtf?

    anyone else..?

    You go thru high school, play sports, tons of friends,
    go to college and you maybe hang onto 1 or 2 good friends from high school, but then you make friends in college, have 5-6-7 really good college buddies, but then you graduate college, 3 of those friends get jobs in other cities, 1 or 2 get married, and ur left with that one good buddy, who inevitably gets a super serious g/f who spends all his time with her.

    You work with a bunch of 45yr olds, obv wont hang out with them...and all of a sudden u look at the clock, its 10:24 on a saturday night, ur gf is with her friends, and u literally have nothing, at all, to fucking do.

    Yeah, I hear ya.

    Most of my closest friends live far away or are too busy with their own lives. I still have one close friend, but between me and my family and his g/f we probably get together once a month to hang out.

    The other guys that I used to be close friends with I kinda went my own ways when they started making some bad choices (stealing shit, dropping out of college, one of them tried to hook up with a chick I was seeing behind my back, etc.). There's one guy in particular I miss hanging out with out of that group, but the others I don't really miss.

    I have one co-worker buddy that I'm cool with, but on Tuesday I'm going to a different department where it'll be just me and 3 older females so I'll be screwed there.

    haha dont get me wrong, some of my best like, office buddies who i nug at work with, are 45yr olds...but out to the bars? i mean..just nothing in common i guess

    I have the same problem now. I use to live in the midwest bouncing between Chicago and St.Louis and had tons of friends out there to hang with. Then I moved to Vegas for a while and kinda lost touch with most of my friends in the midwest but was sharing a house with a couple of dudes in Vegas so made new friends and was still doing shit. Then my parents had to move to SoCal for my dads work and then they fired him like a year later so they were stuck out there with nobody else so I moved out there to help them and be closer to them. I dont know anyone out here though and most of the people I've met are complete morons so lot of boring weekends.

    I guess it balances out though cause with the extra free time I've had I've been going to the casinos out here more and doing well in cash games. Still sucks though when you wanna go to a movie or a club or somethin and dont have anyone to take. Least the girls out here are hot and easy though.

    Im not sure its age, but what u do...if ur one of those guys that doesnt go to college and hangs out with his buddies from high school in his home town till he's 30, he's gonna have more friends that someone who has left and tried new things.

    i just talked to a college buddy who moved to gulf shores for a job who replied "omg dude, i know, it sucks...i have no one to hang out with, i just sit and watch tv all weekend"

    IDK I have never really cared abut having friends all that much people have always gravitated to me and i never seem to find much joy or satisfaction in it but I understand where you are coming from

    I had a similar problem for about an hour today. I fixed it with porn, masturbation, beer and then eventually blackmailing one of my friends to make him go drinking with me.

    ok yah, i completely agree, i have more than a few guys i could call to go grab a beer with or go drinking with, im talking about a legit friend that ur actually gonna have a great time goin out with. I get bored just "going to grab a beer" with someone

    i had tons of friends in college and for awhile spoker to a few dozen of them after graduation but ONE BY ONE they either got married(ive been to six weddings of college friends, bob, ron steve, gene, spencer/john)/moved away. Nobody left within 100 miles of me now.

    In the exact same situation - grew up in central WI and then stayed friends with probably half a dozen bros then went to school in Green Bay and had half a dozen good buds there but then moved to Minneapolis whereas the HS friends are in Texas now and the college friends are in Milwaukee/Chicago so here I am in Minneapolis w/ 0 friends and the GF is out at a bachelorette party tonight . . . . FML

    You and your friends are probably just all townies; the sort of thing OP is talking about is something that happens to a group of people when they all show a little ambition.

    Try being one of those guys getting a job in another city where you don't know anyone and you don't have a girlfriend, working with people twice your age... It sucks, but you just need to make new friends.
