I just can't fathom having that much money to being completely broke. You have to be grossly negligent in your finances to do this

Allen Iverson – who has earned over $154 million in salary alone over his stellar NBA career — is reportedly broke. That number excludes millions more in non-salary income, including a $50 million lifetime endorsement contract from Reebok.

did AI look like someone who would be anything but 'grossly negligent with his finances'?
-
taxes, alimony, child support for 5 kids, gambling problem, prolly paid rent/mortgage for handfuls of ppl = gg
-
god he was my favorite player growing up. its so sad to see this.
-
Young people like nice stuff. Just saying.
-
he always thrived to be the best at everything
so he had to blow more than Antoine walker and other did -
AI gonna AI
-
Does he get the Brewster's Millions now?
-
They had a table set up for him and his entourage at a Detroit casino one night - not in a back room but right on the floor. He was playing 3 hands max bet on each and not really paying attention. I heard from dealers he lost about 50k in an hour and then went to the club.
-
So sad, what do you do now? I bet he offs himself.
-
I lol'd.
doubt he has the customer relations skillz tho -
When he was here in Detroit a friend of mine that works at MGM Grand said he was there every night degening it up
-
bought my momma a car, spent the rest on ... pcp.

Not even just Iverson its amazing how many athletes in general wind up broke. My finance teacher was talking about how these athletes make much less money than people think. 200 mil isnt really 200 mill when you factor in income tax, agent fees, etc. And also he said athletes have to pay state taxes in every state they play a game in. Obv even with those expenses taken out its still no excuse. They just have no idea how to manage money and don't realize the moneys eventually gonna stop coming in.

Sad Story my favourite player growing up and my First NCAA game I attended that was played in Maple Leaf Gardens included the AI led Hoyas vs Memphis. Also the Answer 4s were my favourite shoes of all time. The pair I currently want was the ones I had back then Black ones

someone like him will never truly be broke. thats the thing. you see AI is broke and you think oh this guys in the poor house. i can guarantee unless he develops some type of serious drug problem with like crack or heroin and he's living in a crack house with nobody to take care of him then he might go broke in the context we look at being broke. But I doubt that happens. He's gonna always have finacial support behind him. He may not be loaded with cash but as long as he is still here on this earth he is gonna live a nice life. he's gonna have a decent car. he's gonna have a decent house and he's gonna fuck decent pussy. he just wont have millions of dollars in the bank.
