good those things were awful.
-
<3 AI. fav player ever. hard worker, fights through injuries, busts his ass, etc.
all heart, gl Allen. -
you forgot to mention, ball hog, team cancer, flopper, overrated and will never win
-
I dont like this, I dont like this one bit
-
colorado (college and now NBA) homer IMO. except that its true.
-
All that ball hog and team cancer shit is easily explained by having played with absolutely no one for like a decade and destroying yourself night after night slamming your tiny body against seven footers while watching your shit organization do fucking nothing to try to win.
Nobody called him a ball hog or a cancer in Denver, nobody is doing in in Detroit.
More of this guy's career successes can be attributed to hard work, tireless effort and toughness than any player in the history of the game.
If you can't get behind Allen Iverson it's likely because you're a front-runner whose favorite team(s) win the championship every year! -
gee, I didn't see that one coming. Did you make that one up yourself?
-
good, maybe they cut out some of the stupid with the knots.
-
let's see, blew off a mandatory practice less than 2 weeks after the trade, is now making noise that he needs to be the focal point of the offense, defense is something he avoids like the plague. Yeah great team player we have here. Think Denver would even consider re-doing the trade?

but pound for pound the best INDIVIDUAL scorer since Isaih Thomas and really fun to watch. -
He never had anyone to play with cause he ran off any good scorer that came into Philly. Probably the most selfish player ever.
Too bad about the cornrows, they're still as relevant and fashionable today as they were in 1996. -
"A common way of styling hair among populations across the length and breadth of the African continent, cornrows survived for centuries in the United States and other parts of the New World as a style of hair preparation among enslaved Africans and their progeny. In 1963, when most African American women were loath to be seen in public with unstraightened hair, actress Cicely Tyson drew immediate notice when she sported cornrows on the popular network television series East Side/West Side. The style gained wide popularity in the United States in the late 1960s and 1970s as part of the Black is beautiful movement, when the trend was to reject straightening one's hair in favor of "natural" hairstyles. Afros, strands of hair twisted into tight coils or wound with twine, and the wearing of geles (in Yoruba, colorful, often elaborately wrapped head cloths) are among the commonplace African styles adopted by African American women."

One of the problems with the NBA is fans like you who embrace the 1 on 1 mentality. It's a TEAM game, which is why it is so great and can ne so beautiful, playing the team game, but fans like you want to see only superstars that are scoring a ton, which brings the NBA $ and marketing so they push these stars and we get crappy isolations all game, horrible refs allowing said stars to travel anytime they want, and boring unimaginative offenses.
AI can score for sure, but he has never been a team player, which is why truely great team players stay away from him like the plague. Which is why players in Detriot arent liking him or his style and they are stinking it up. Ever wonder why alot of great players never stepped up wanting to play with AI??
BTW, oh you pegged me so right, i only follow the championship contender teams and cheer for them, that's why im a raptor and hawks fan.... -
I hope he donated them to charity , since they could probably be sold for a good penny
-
if i remember correctly, AI led a team to the finals that consisted of:
dikembe mutumbo
tyrone hill
george lynch
eric snow
aaron mckie
matt geiger
other awful players
has anyone ever had a cast that bad and led them to the finals? i think even lebron's cast was better a few years ago. -
Rip seems to love him ;)
I mean take a look, they have no idea who the prob is, they LOVE AI, make him the focal point, rip doesnt need the ball!!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Q182w3vTXw&eurl -
That was 2001. Mutombo was a little out of his prime but still a major beast. Lynch was maybe the best on ball defender in the league at that time, and Snow and McKie were perfect complements. Larry Brown did maybe his greatest coaching job ever that year. Giving Iverson all the credit is silly, and they didn't even win the championship anyway.
Besides any of that, anybody who could've really helped talent-wise got run off by AI cause they threatened him taking 40 shots per night. -
that shows something to you about ai REALLY? fuck your dumb posts

it shows his new teammates dont like him, especiually rip. How was that team doing the last few years without AI?? Oh yea ECFs yearly, no more, welcome the savior to town!! And welcome him outta town next year. How did Denver do with him?? Oh year, never won a round?? Man that guy is good and not a team killer in any way. He isnt a ballhog and doesnt think every offense should revovle around him.
Hell, i avoided the wack rapping, anti homo remarks, the illegal gun concealing and the kicking your wife out the house naked stuff. But you guys are making him out to be some really nice, unselfish guy lol even his mom is a wannabe thug. -
I don't really think you can blame AI for the Pistons problems, when at the heart of it, the AI-Billups trade was about creating cap room for Detriot.
-
LOL, who remembers this? I guess if you were esp. offended by them you would.

I think we're one step closer to finding an openly gay OTer. -
Sorry if i have a good memory, im not gay, but even if i were, what does it matter? Obv it's a problem in your own head you need to deal with, insecurity or not confident in your sexuality, i suggest you look into it if it really is that much of a problem that it would matter to you if i was.
-
Where did I say or imply I had a problem with it? If anything I have a problem with the fact that all kinds of personal info gets shared in OT yet nobody seems to be gay. The stats don't support it. If it's you just say so, I'll even transfer you $5 on stars as a coming out gift.
