-
lol Iowa
-
hard to take any poll that has Bachmann 1st seriously
-
this poll is laughable at best imo
I watched McCotter speak on a replay of something last night and I was legit scared of him. The way he talks is unbearable to watch with his arms flailing and what not. -
The Ames straw poll means quite literally nothing, other than winning it will get you a few days of coverage before anyone besides politics junkies are paying attention.
History:
Year/winner/eventual nominee
1979/George hw bush/Reagan
1987/pat Robertson/George h w bush
1995/bob dole and phil gramm (tie)/bob dole
1999/George w bush/George w bush
2007/ mitt Romney/John McCain -

it means SOMETHING......just not a lot.
PS that is an article from CNN about Tim Pawlenty dropping out -
Well Pawlenty needed a strong showing in Ames to give his donors a reason to keep funding him, because he wasn't doing anything in real polls or anywhere else. If he had won or come in second or something he could have said "look, I'm turning it around! Got the Big Mo, baby!" but without that he had nothing. Gg sir.
Fact still remains tho that the winner of Ames has only gone on to the nomination 1/3 of the time...and in one of those races that "winner" was actually only tied, and in the other race, the front runner didn't have much real competition. -
Isn't tomorrow the first day of class for you LS? Log off and get to reading!
-
2nd place for Ron Paul was better than winning...if he won, everyone would say how this doesn't count....so this was a better result imo.
Just saw this Bachman lady on tv...she is batshit crazy -

-
Nah, tomorrow is just orientation. Not sure when class starts tbh
-

Hmmm, Ron Paul wants to get rid of the Federal Reserve. Who gets the most benefit of the Federal Reserve (at least thru the past QE's) Banks and Corporations (essentially the only people who benefited). So why in the world would large media corps (News Corp, NBC, CNN) and other big money (banks, wall street) ever support Ron Paul and or even acknowledge him, when his policies though probably good for middle America, would/could hurt the people in charge of the news?
Wow, how did I ever get thru college English? -
Bachman got 1st (barely) inher own hometown?? OMG!
