  1. arguably top prospect in 2011 class..couple weeks ago said he was staying in prep school but changed his mind and is coming to UConn for this year!! Back to backkkk

    http://www.courant.com/sports/uconn-...,7964481.story

  2. Big East is good
  3. Def. A great catch and will have an immediate impact.

I fear that uconn homers will fail to see that losing kemba will have a much more profound impact thanthey realize.

Wo him last year they struggle to make the ncaa tourney.

He was the danny manning of little men
  4. WOW. didnt see this coming he reminds me of Amare coming out of HS but with a more advanced offensive skill set , straight scary potential.

but now where do we rank the defending champion huskies

    1. UNC
    2. UCONN
    3. Kentucky

    thoughts?
  5. he looks beastly
  6. but wug GPA?

  8. I absolutley hated the fact they won and W/O kemba they barely make the tournament. Remember they beat Pitt @ the buzzer on a jumper by kemba plus he played lights out ALL Big east tourney. Also IMO got lucky UK had such a terrible first half in FF. And if this years rules were implemented last year Uconn wouldnt even be able to compete in the post season which is fucking pathetic

But WTF is happening to pay for his school are his parents loaded ?? I can't imagine it's cheap to go to Uconn even tho he's in state

"It's not clear where his scholarship will come from. Connecticut has none available after losing three due to NCAA rules violations and a poor academic performance rating."

    I still think

    #1 UNC
    #2 UK
    #3 Uconn

  9. Youre saying Ben Lamb and this kid together arent going to be nasty popper? and quit making excuses that kemba played lighs out this team sucked first half theres new rules this year.

    GUESS WHAT??

Uconn won and you cant change it no matter how much you complain..
  10. I never said they werent gonna be sick

    Ben Lamb :D

They are gonna be nasty yes and cmon but I think you Uconn fans are higly under-estimating the fact Kamba literally carries that team on his back the last 11 games.

Drummond-Napier-Lamb-Oriachki are gonna be good dont get me wrong but certainly not

    Marshall-Henson-strickland-Barnes and Zeller good

UNC and Kentucky will be everyone's favorite and rightfully so.

I never trust freshman to make FF and therefore i would not include UCONN...although many will.

If i had two pick 2 others w/o any homerisms....

    UNC
    Kentucky
    Ohio State
    Vanderbilt
  18. While it's easy for homers to underestimate how much UConn will miss Kemba, it's also easy for non-homers to forget just how good Jeremy Lamb became over the last 11 games of the season. If he grew over the summer into the guy he could be, this team could be pretty good again. It's amazing what a year's experience as the champs will do for a young team, too.

    This is pretty awesome news.
  19. Player has to give up scholly for Drummond

ESPN.com has learned through a source that Connecticut Huskies coach Jim Calhoun, interim athletic director Paul Pendergast, UConn president Susan Herbst and at least one member of the compliance department met Friday to ensure that it was possible to add another scholarship player -- a big one -- even though the program is officially out of scholarships.
