I've heard from friends that have met him IRL that hes a real arrogant prick. In that interview in the analyst booth do you think he was coming off as a dick or just keeping it "real"? I vote he was being a dick and unprofessional as ducks. WUG? Also, GG chance of getting that analyst job after what he said?
-
Actually I've heard quite the contrary over the years, pretty funny dude imo. Who the fuck wouldn't be arrogant if you were making millions playing a game no one cares about and plowing 10s on the reg?
-
lol, well said. And I always root for American men in tennis, but when it comes to Roddick I could care less. His douchiness is beyond tilting.
-
people watch non-hot-chick tennis??
I did enjoy op dropping the "in that interview in the analyst booth" like anyone knows wtf you are talking about
and what chance said -
Edited By: deezy5821 Sep 1st, 2011 at 04:21 AMThat's the whole point. Everyone knows hes a millionaire and a good looking dude. That doesn't take away from the fact that he is greatly overrated and TBH has not much of a reason to be that arrogant considering he has 1 major to his name. Nadal - Federer? Both classy and professional. Why belittle someone for being fortunate especially after looking bad against a player that has never won a match at the US. I mean he was talking to an analyst and just tried to shit on him. And BTW you can still be funny and an arrogant prick.Originally Posted by voorh33s

LOL god people like you are fucking tilting. You are prolly the guy that holds Andy's dick while hes pissing.
Edit: Norcal ^^^^^ -
Lives here in Austin and is real good friends with tennis pro at nearby club. Have played cards with him and he's always cordial but is gigantic d-bag when he thinks someone doesn't belong and have seen it firsthand. I haven't met a ton of stars but I can only imagine that this is how they are when everything isn't going their way.

"Tennis analyst is the easiest job in the world because whatever the person does, if it works you just say that's what's good, and if it doesn't work, you guys go, "He should have done the other things." So, you know, I'm pretty convinced that I could be a tennis analyst one day...it just doesn't take much thought...if I'm grinding and I'm winning, you guys are like, "He's reinvented himself." If I'm playing like crap and pushing, then, you know, "He's horrible and he needs to hit the ball." Everyone's an expert but I'm better than most of them, I believe." -
Saying Blake's a douche? The guy kicks serious ass, aside from the whole "I hang out with John Mayer" thing.
He kicked my ass in HS and was pretty nice about it. Then, he left the court and put back on his full back brace that he had to wear every single day because he had debilitating scoliosis and wasn't supposed to be able to do anything athletic. Dunno how you don't root for a guy like that.
Also, this gets its own thread? -

i mean it's the truth...it's the same for any sport.
obv TV needs analysts, but the same goes for baseball analysts who say that a pitcher used a wrong sequence when giving up a bomb...or football analysts who say that a coach called the wrong play when they run a bootleg into a blitzing corner...or a basketball analyst who says a guy needs to stop shooting jumpers and go to the rack--even tho he's been a jumpshooter his whole life.
he's apparently a giant prick from first-hand stories on here, but this doesn't seem all that bad. he probably played like shit and was pissed off.
