Sometimes I feel coming to OT for ethics, is like going to a whorehouse looking for a virgin.

2 situations this week.
I have some time to burn on long drive so I stop at casino to play a little craps. While playing I notice guy to my immediate right drops an extra $20 on odds behind pass line bet after point is rolled. I am positioned directly to the right of dealer and guy is on end of table. My first reaction was to be my normal smart ass self and say to the guy "I didn't know you could do that?". I thought it was a little strange that dealer had turned his back when he did it.

Second situation
I take my kids to training site for Casinos. otherwise known as Dave and Busters. We walk up to coin redemption machine and start to play but machine informs me its out of tickets. We get attendant and he loads up new roll of tickets. I tell him the 40 tickets on machine currently aren't mine but he just shrugs and walks off. Tickets start dispensing, we start playing and tickets just keep coming and coming. Ten minutes later lady approaches and says it did same thing to her. It didn't stop until whole roll was dispensed. Later see same lady playing machine again as it stays on auto dispense.

2. Nothing, wtf bro, dont be a rat.. and dont ever leave a machine that's dispensing tickets like japan dispenses radiation -
Uhhh... you can add to your pass line odds anytime you want. You can even up your pass line bet if you want to increase your odds past table max. Dude probably had 10 on the pass and put down 20 odds on a 5 or 9 and then decided to go to 40. You can do that anytime you want and you can also decrease your odds anytime you want, you just can't decrease the pass line bet.

Second situation - carry on, nothing to see here. -
1...no clue I know nothing about craps no matter how hard I try. I wouldn't have a problem with you questioning the dealer though because you may be missing out on something that is in fact legal
2...probably wouldn't say anything because those machines break constantly and probably are owed to someone. Depending on my generosity, I might inform someone who worked there, but really wouldn't care either way -
You can add $$$ to the odds behind pass line in the 3 seconds after he makes point and get paid for it before he rolls again?

Once you have a pass line bet you can add or remove odds bets at anytime you want. You can bet as little or as much as you want up to table max, at any time. You just can't take money off the pass line. As long as you don't keep your hands down during the actual dice toss you can do it anytime you want. Most tables are 3x4x5 odds for 4/10 5/9 6/8 but you can find lots of variations.

I still don't think they allow you to increase your bet after the outcome has been decided

You say nothing in a casino, ever. That's just the way it goes. If they want to try, more power to them. It doesn't affect you at all. -
