    It's off-season for hockey, but one may recall there are some people on here who do not like Sid the Kid too well.

    That's too bad. He's a remarkable athlete.

    As a Penguins fan, the best reason to love Sidney is the Stanley Cup he carried around the ice the season before last. Also, if you are Canadian, you may appreciate that he scored the gold-medal winning goal in the Olympics.

    I didn't know he was strong enough to hit a ball out of a stadium. I like that as well.

    Hockey players can absolutely mash baseballs. The momentum build and quick explosive hips in taking a slapshots is pretty similar to that of drilling a baseball or softball.

    Also, while I saw a few things I didn't love, really not too bad of a swing. His hands actually make a pretty good move toward the baseball.

    Whose better? I'll give ya Datsyuk, getting up in age, another year or two there won't be an argument. Don't say Ovechkin I could score 30 goals on that line. Crosby put up some of the best offensive stats in the league playing on a line with Bill Guerin and Chris Kunitz....c'monnn man. Already a good defender and becoming better every year. I may have jumped the gun a lil bit, but give it another year or two and lock it up. Not to mention if he actually gets a winger that can score... And for those of you idiots that love to call him a whiner, its his job to communicate with the refs he's the CAPTAIN.
