But OP i am somewhat a noxing fan a good pal of mine is a boxer here in ontario so I take a in alot of cards
  12. Yes. Huge boxing fan here.

  13. There are a few boxing fans left in OT.

Itquick is very knowledgeable on the sport.

I'm watching Froch and Dirrel on Saturday night.

I hope the American smashes him to bits.

  15. Yes, I am a boxing fan.

Wow, moscow, what's all the hate for Froch about? Yes, he is an arrogant fuck, but his fights are always entertaining and he's got the heart of a champion. (That said, I think Dirrell is skilled enough to outbox him this weekend).
  16. I know most boxers talk a lot of rubbish but he takes it to another level. He recently compared himself to Leonard and said he would have been a 'superstar' in the 1980's middleweight division.

He has got a lot of guts but he is lacking in skill and technique......

Cant wait to see Jermain Taylor against Abraham. I'm backing Taylor to cause an upset. If he can just improve his stamina I think he'll be too smart for Abraham.

This super 6 is great for boxing.

Cant wait for it to start.
  17. I am a big boxing fan. When I was growing up, I had a neighbor from Argentina that was some sort of trainer, and he had a ton of films of Carlos Monzon fights and training/sparring sessions. Got me hooked on the sport, and Monzon is still my all time fave even tho he was before my time. For real, the guy was an amazing boxer.
  18. No doubt man. Everyone is writing Taylor off, but he is capable of pulling off the upset. Abraham is a slow starter and if Taylor can build up a lead in the first 6-7 rounds, he may be able to win a decision. The question is whether or not he has the stamina to be able to go 12 rounds with Abraham who tends to get stronger as the fight progresses. If he fades like he did against Froch and in the first Pavlik fight, Abraham will KO him late.

The fight I am really interested to see is Kessler-Ward, though. Kessler has been the best 168 pounder in the world after Calzaghe moved up to 175, and while he is incredible strong, durable and fundamentally solid with a pistol-like jab, Ward has a ton of talent and the ability to give Kessler different angles and can get in and out after throwing combos with that world-class speed of his. This might be the best matchup of the 3 fights.

Monzon is one of my all time favorites as well. I would have loved to see him vs. Hagler in a matchup of all time great middleweights. Too bad he wasn't a few years younger.

Argentina has had some great fighters throughout the years. Monzon, Pascual Perez and the heavyweight Oscar Bonavena were all awesome. Right now, Sergio Martinez may be the most underrated 154 pounder in the world.
  20. If you haven't checked it out already NFL Films is producing a 24/7-esque series on Showtime for The Super 6 called Fight Camp 360. If you have Showtime you can find it On-Demand, if you don't they have it on their website: http://sports.sho.com/browse/video-p...id=44166861001 It is pretty good and if you are a Dan Rafael fan he makes a pretty big appearance.

I've got Abraham by knockout in the mid-rounds, first time Taylor gets caught it is over. But yeah, if he somehow gets it to the cards then he'll certainly have a shot because he'll throw so many more punches. Dirrell by decision is the fairly standard pick I think. Next week Kessler by a razor-thin decision in a tremendous fight. I can't wait.
