1. With summer lurking around the corner (Its about time) I figured now would be as good a time as any to see if there was any interest in another OT poker competition. With a lot of the students having a semi-break during the next few months, we could probably even get more people in on it. The last few times its been done I've had a lot of fun, and im sure im others have also.

Obviously we would need a solid 2 -3 weeks to get everything situated - buy in, holders, captains, etc - so maybe estimate the start date as May 1st and run it through May 31st? I dont know if this interferes with the WSOP (IDK the actual dates), so if it does we could always shift dates around.

    Just sign below if interested

Edit: Alright, it seems like we have some interest. I should have requested this initially, but I forgot. Please go ahead and edit your post when you get the chance stating whether you are a Low Stakes or High Stakes player.

Remember: Low Stakes includes MTTS $0 - $30 and high stakes is $30+.

As for rules, I was thinking about combining the previous two methods we used for scoring. I really liked the idea last time of separating the Low Stakes and High Stakes scores into two categories and then adding the points together. But I also liked the idea of the time before where we Counted PLB, FTs, and Wins. So if everyone is ok with it, I figued we could have each category added up for a teams low stakes players and high stakes players. This would this be compared to other teams players of the same level. You would then get a point total based on where you rank among the other teams for each category. At the end, we add up all 6 categoires and lowest (or highest, depending on if most = 1 or 6ish) total wins.

    For example:

    Team A:
    1. High Stakes
    • 1000 plb
    • 6 FT
    • 2 Win
    2. Low Stakes
    • 500 Plb
    • 9 FT
    • 4 Win

    Team B:

    1. High Stakes
    • 999 PLB
    • 7FT
    • 1 Win
    2. Low Stakes
    • 501 Plb
    • 10 FT
    • 5 Win

Team A would get 2 points for winning High Stakes PLB and FT and 1 point for High stakes W, Low Stakes plb, FT,W for a grand total of 7 points.

Team B would get 2 points for winning High Stakes FT, Low Stakes PLB, Low Stakes FT, and Low Stakes W. They would also receive 1 point for High Stakes PLB and High Stakes FT for a grand total of 10 points.

    Team B would win.

I hope that made sense, but if it didn't just ask and I'll try to explain it better. I think this scoring systems makes sure that Low Stakes players are just as important as the High stakes ones - while also letting the players who play $1 MTTS contribute close to the same as those who play $30 MTTs.

    High Stakes:

    BlackFours

    Low Stakes:

    CleeShay
