"The Himeyuri-no-To memorial on Okinawa commemorates 200 schoolgirls and their teachers who committed suicide in the school grounds, fearing that they'd be mistreated by American troops invading near the end of world war two. In the end, I didn't even go into the museum, because it was expensive and didn't seem to have much on offer, but there was plenty on offer in the museum grounds, about ten spiders anywhere between five and seven inches long!"

I killed three black widows by my pool 2 weeks ago

That's fairly similar, but the not enough yellow... the pic i took is looking at the spider's underside, so who knows... probably closely related tho...

pretty sure there are at least a few thousand species of orb weavers so could be hard to id lol
that is a fkn bad boy tho... lemme see if I can find something similar -
yea but there are many different kinds of argiopes and depending on where they are they are shaped differently... it's just my best guess
does the web have the zigzag pattern anywhere?
the guess above is pretty good, could be a type of giant wood spider or "banana" spider -
some of the lower pics in the link i posted above have similar markings on the under belly.

I hope you all die
-
on second look, i think the wood spider is the winner... nice work!
