I have a 07 Tacoma 4x4 Double Cab TRD Sport with 17 inch wheels.

I've decided to buy a new set of rims and tires since my stock ones are passed their prime. The wheels I'm going to buy are Black Ballistic Hostel 17x9 rims and I'm pretty sure going to fit them with Nitto Terra Grapplers (265/70r17)

On top of this I'm debating giving my truck a small lift, thinking 2.5" - 3" max.

80% of my driving is highway, 15% city and the remaining 5% being off-road 4x4. I do plan on doing more off roading in the not too distant future but will be fairly minor up my local mountain / trails to plink around with my 22.

I don't mind sacrificing a bit of the ride quality but not too much. Would like to improve my off road ride quality and do whatever I can to maintain as close to the stock ride on the road. Cost isn't really an issue...just want the best setup for my application.

Is anyone an expert on suspension / lifting trucks? I know there are several different options to go about lifting my truck but some would completely throw the ride comfort out the window. From what I've been told my best option for the front would be looking at installing Coilovers (w / UCA) and a leaf pack in the rear as well as get a diff drop, does that sound about right? Any other recommendations? If you agree that's the route I should take any particular brands?

I'm pretty much a complete n00b on the subject.
