    Yeah, they're fighting like 9:30-9:45ish in Polish time (not 100% on that, should probably double check).

    I think it's interesting, but I also saw some pictures from the weigh ins, and all I can say is that other dude better have some pretty damn good tricks up his sleve, cause Marius is a massive dude! Technique > size, but damn!

    I should say what I've always said:

    Relative technique > relative size. But that's a whole lotta muscle!

    From what I understand, Marius actually has trained in some form of martial arts for quite awhile. I think he takes this one with little trouble.

    I didn't even notice this the first time I watched it, but the fucking ref had to arm bar him just to get him out of beast mode! FUCK! Imagine if this dude learns technique?!

    I think this guy might have the physical attributes to muscle brock around. With a bit more training, I think he could contend.

    Ok who here wouldn't pay $50 to see this guy take on Lesnar next week? That guy has truly freak strength, the kind that breaks bones or does f5 powerbomb suplexes to 250 lb men. I always wondered how he'd do in MMA, and admittedly he's just started, I am a huge fanboy already.

    Why would anyone pay $50 to watch someone with almost no MMA training fight for a heavyweight title? I would expect him to have to train for years before he would have a legit chance at beating anyone with any amount of skill and experience.

    He's a former amateur boxer with a black belt in some eastern martial art. But his strength and athleticism would compensate for his lack of experience, I mean watch Sapp/Nog, and I think Marius is far more athletic than Sapp.

    The "$50 next week" means I think the guy can have success in UFC right now, not after some pointless run on TUF or whatever.

    See, THIS is the kind of guy I was talking about when I created threads about athletes successfully transitioning to other sports because of sheer athletic talents and not needing the many years of training it takes most people to become successful in those sports. I also remember posting a picture of him in the thread a few weeks back about greatest athlete in the world in which there were 23506235632897562 posts about Lebron 245623562935 posts about Usain Bolt and 3 posts about other people... pretty sure he will be a massive contender in this sport in under a year.

    IMO that says nothing about the quality of the competition and everything about the fact that the man is a ridiculous athletic freak the sort of which doesn't come along very often, with martial arts training to go with his eleventy billion consecutive World's Strongest Man titles.

    I know I'll be watching every fight he's in, just because he's one of those freaks who is amazing to watch at everything he does...
