  1. Curious on the cost of living out there...I'm seriously considering a great employment position out there and wondered what the average 3 bedroom rental home cost out there and what the utilities for a 3 bedroom home would be also how the schools are out there? Also are rental homes easy to come by and are they in nice neighborhoods? Any info ya have for me would be greatly appreciated...

    Sweetest
  2. I think I heard its about equal as NYC. Not to sure about that tho. But, I do know a standard 2 bedroom apartment in NYC will go for 2k a month.
  3. Dont Rent, youre screwing yourself by renting
  4. i dont kno about 3 bedrooms but I got a nice bachelor pad a block away from the school, and the schools seem nice I go and watch the little kids walk home everyday. Sometimes I just watch them with my bonoculars but only when im lazy..mmmmmm
  5. Same as NYC? Are you out of your mind?
  6. Orly?
  7. Well, I guess so.
  8. It depends on the erea you are actually looking at. You could go on craigs list LV or Rentclicks to see the costs of differnt places in different erea.

We live in Henderson and will stay in Henderson or Summerlin if the right house comes up.

(We need a guest house or Pool House so we can call it "OT Clubhouse"
  9. lol I was about to say cue Chaz for schools he knows his shit

  10. Definitely not New York priced. I have a brand new, very nice 2 bedroom condo with all the amenities just outside of Henderson (towards the strip), and I only pay $850.
  11. yeah, in NYC a two bedroom apartment is about double that... lol

  12. cmval,

Everyone says that you shouldn't rent, but it's really one of those things that's a lot more complicated than the blanket statement the loan industry puts out. There are many advantages to renting, inciuding

    1) Not having to worry about yardwork/etc
    2) Being able to move without selling a house,

    etc

I'm not saying that most people aren't better off buying, but it's not a cut and dry issue that most people think it is. If he isn't sure if he wants to live there long term, renting might be the way to go, at least until he decides.
  13. Everything included, you'll pay around 2500/month for a nice house in a nice neighborhood near the schools. I don't know how the school system is around here, but I always remark about how horrible it must be to be a kid and go to school in this city.

  14. In harlem.. lol
  15. I take it you don't live in NYC. 2 beds are closer to 3200-4000. I have a friend who pays 1995 for yer studio.
  16. I lived in Vegas all of last year.

It's not even close to the cost of living in NYC.

I had a 2 bedroom condo I split with a roommate that was VERY nice and it was only 950 a month. 425 a person aint shit.
  17. gg math

  18. ^^^^ lmfao!!!
  19. 425 aint half the rent either

  21. Manhattan is a small island, Vegas is a vast desert. Real Estate has been on the rise in Vegas, but like Manhattan, come on?
