    I bought my buddy a gag gift, and it was the "Minute To Win It" game on the Wii.

    I'm okay with it, because I'll get drunk and play it the day I give it to him..and maybe once or twice after that...but it's probably a really terrible game I'd imagine.

    imo, wii games don't have longevity, they're fun to play for a bit, then just straight up boring.

    that hockey game with Gretzky on the cover, with the mini hockey stick for the controller would probably be fun.

    First of all, he's my best friend from back in BC and we're both out east here in Toronto/niagara falls away from our family.

    Secondly, he just got married, and his wife has become very, very good friends with my gf (who thought it would be a nice gesture).

    Thirdly, we were at there place for dinner last week and are the only 2 people that have been told that they are now expecting a baby (2 months preggo). Not even either of their parents know.

    Fourth, I'll be at their place for a NY party and it'll be fun drinking games (for me and him, not the wifey obv.)

    Hopefully that more than thoroughly answers your question.

    Is it for yourself? Your girlfriend? Your kids? A 13 year old brother?

    What types of games has this person liked in the past?

    Seriously, and the biggest question is, do you have friends or family you will be playing with?

    For single player:

    New Super Mario World Wii, DK Returns, Epic Mickey, De Blob, Mario Galaxy 1+2, Zac And Wikki: Search for Barbaros Treasure, MadWorld

    For multilayer (not necessarily online)

    Mario Kart, Mario Strikers, Mario party, Smash Bros Brawl, Boom Blox Bash Party (relatively unknown, but unfriggenbelieveable), Worms.

    FWIW, all amazing games, so those aren't necessarily in order. I would say the best two/most universally loved are Mario Kart and Mario Galaxy.
