Anyone Rent in or around syosset NY

    Obv Sheets and Bax are from here but I think they both own. I am moving there December 1st and was wondering if anyone lives in or around 20 mile radius. I need a place to stay and was wondering if anyone has rented in this area. I wanted to buy a house but all of the good ones are 500-700k price range and thats a little expensive for me right now.

    Renting is only going to make your purchase of a nice home less feasible. I know the real estate market is very risky right now, but there are other options.

    isn't this an extremely expensive area to live in? what is bringing you from Hawaii to Syosset?

    Just got medically retired from the US Navy due to a injury during Operation Enduring Freedom in 2005. This injury does not affect my work but affects me since I am not 100% world wide assignable and as of right now they cannot have someone who needs to be seen by a specalist every month and expect them to preform duties around the world.
    I was able to get a job as a Gas Turbine Electronics Tech. The Company I will be working for supplies power to the city of NY power grid. Its a plant used mostly for peak hours since the majority of NY is supplied by Nuclear power.
