  1. I'm 30 and I think I've rented a car once.

Any low fare sites for cars like for flights?? What is better avenue to look aside from going to home sites and expediaish sites? I'm assuming like flights they get more expensive the closer the date gets?

I'm doing pickup, 5 hour drive through desert to Vegas and dropping car off, thats it.

Will be there 25th of this month for at least 5+ days it looks. I plan on bad beating people silly so if anyone wants to hangout for drinks and/or food, let me know and I gots the drinks.

Thank you for anyone thats not a car rental noob!!
  2. try alamo for a drop off. some places dont allow drops or charge some crazy fee. alamo is prob your best bet for a drop off
  3. I don't rent a lot of cars, but when i do, i've found enterprise or thrifty to be the best prices. Always google "rental car deals" or <company> discount codes" before you book online, as you can often save some dough.
  4. Rental Car companies hate one way rentals. Rent a uhaul
  5. I use Enterprise all the time. I Google for a discount code.

If you can avoid the different city pick up/drop off you'll be much better off. Rent for an entire week for the same (or less) price.
  6. i use orbitz once or twice a month, you can reserve a one way without giving your credit card.

you'll need a valid license and a major credit card when you pick up.

    no biggie

this is what I do, too. you can often save like 20% with some stupid 10 digit code.
  9. Last time I rented a car was from Alamo. I got it for about $150 for a week with unlimited mileage. I put on just under 3000 miles.
