Chara just put Max Pacioretty into the awkward part of the boards in between the two benches in the worst possible way. Got taken off on a stretcher. Might be the most cringeworthy hockey injury i've ever seen, he was taken away on a stretcher.

STOP showing the fucking replay. I have played hockey all my life and this is the 2nd-3rd time i have ever seen this. -
Just saw it on Vs. OUCH! Hope hes ok, not like Chara was intending to injure though. That really looked painful.
-
I missed the hit and am hoping to see a replay, but from all accounts i read, it seems like a cheapshot.
Too bad no redemption on Chara this game, down the road wouldn't mind seeing Chara carted off on a stretcher himself. -
did not seem all that dirty rly, Pac kinda had his head down and did not do a very good job protecting himself with Chara all over hiim.
-
Ya no way he was intending to injure. The way that glass partition is in the middle of the rink is very dangerous and they will hopefully change that after tonight. Chara was just trying to knock him off the path and he did. If the the glass partition wasn't like that it would have been just a regular check.

Scary though. Hope the dude is alright. -
Just watch the replay.
Being a hockey player myself, it was definitely a cheapshot. Pax chipped the puck by Chara and it was well after that when Chara hit him.
Those saying it was not a cheapshot must be blind.
Whatta joke.
We'll see just how Colin Campbell see's this, especially with his kid on the B's. -
They just reported he is conscious and moving his arms and legs. Good to hear.
-
thanx bro...
i don't really see this being a cheap shot at all. -
Lol dude, it was minor interference, if it was on the other end of the rink its no issue. I seriously doubt chara planned on him flying into the partition. Overreact more.

lol, typical stupid Americans that barely understand hockey.
-
NO, hockey isnt a sport...watch some college hoops like a real human
-
those hits happen, nothing dirty about it. I've seen guys break their jaw (Adam Deadmarsh I think) on those things
-
GG career...that was vicious
-
Explain why this is a cheap shot cause I would looooove to hear it.
Unfortunate yes, cheap no.
Yes, Campbells son is on the Bruins, but if you knew anything about the NHL, youd know that Campbell absolutely hates the Bruins from his playing days. I wouldn't be suprised to see a suspension because of this, but it will show how biased Campbell is and how bad he is at doing his job. -
1% chance this gets a suspension, it has already been stated by the league that any disiplinary matters in a game involving Campbell's son is handled by other people. That's a fact
Edited By: whatsup Mar 9th, 2011 at 03:54 AM
I would say 0% but I dont want to say it is impossible.
You cant base suspensions on whether a player gets hurt or how bad he gets hurt.
He is a victim of circumstance, this exact same hit happens anywhere else on the ice it is a non-issue, just unfortunate it happened at the stanchion -

Thank god. Is this cause everyone was pissed that Cooke didn't get suspended? -
Dirty Intentional hit? Absolutely not. Unfortunate? Yes.
But then again why would any American understand such a complex game? Jesus MFT you sound like such a tool. If this hit was Chara vs any USA team would you think the same? Didnt think so. -
Id also like to state the Bruins/Canadiens Under 5 was the last game I needed in a 5 team parlay. Of course Lucic who is my favorite Bruins player scores the 5th goal for a push. Cost me half the bet.

even with other ppl looking at it I still dont think there will be a suspension -
Dont think there should be. If that interference happened anywhere else on the ice it would have been 2 minutes. It was unlucky where it happened. I dont care for either team (and i watched their last meeting) but Chara isnt a dirty guy. i would really be surprised if that was a suspension. Still waiting for MFT to say why thats a suspendable hit
-
I dont even think its a penalty, he touched the puck at the blueline and Chara made contact with him 1 stride before the redline.
If you are going to start calling that a penalty you are well on the way to taking all hitting out of the game. It is a contact sport people will get hit. -
Yeah def wasn't a cheap shot, just Chara finishing a check. Was def inflated because of Chara's size
