    Looking to rent a new place. anyone got any suggestions other than craigslist. If any of you LA are players have a room you wanna rent out or know of something please hit me up. Much appreciated.

    Find an area that you like and set out on foot. In my hood in Hollywood there are dozens of empty rentals offering one free month and what not.
    Westsiderentals.com costs a little but I've heard its the best place to find apartments.
    I see people selling passwords for westsiderentals on CL all the time so it must be good.

    pricing mainly depends on the area in which you want to live...west LA prices are MUCH MUCH different than east LA or south LA prices for the same sq footage. mostly because some neighborhoods are insanely shitty, while others are just a little bit shitty or not even shitty at all.

    my GF has been looking for a 1BR apt near UCLA for like 2-3 months now. the cheapest she's seen that would be "doable" in her opinion would cost her 995 and it's not that big at all. we currently live in a 1BR apt in marina del rey and pay just under 1500.

    i agree with most of what kernal klink said...beware of craigslist as it's full of scams. westside rentals is good but try to ge a password for cheaper than 60 for 2 months. hoofin it on foot in the neighborhood you want to rent in is probably your best bet. and ALWAYS try to talk them down. people will put the prices up like 200-300 more than they want just to see if they can get it. play the game and save yourself some money.

    GL with the search as it's a pain in the ass unless you just get lucky.

    Anywhere between Beverly hills and La Brea. Dont really mind. Was looking to move in with someone cause i think u get more for less than living on my own. Been in West Hollywood for years living in my boys condo but the dick decided to get engaged. Hit up a few listings on CL but most are taken or the people just seem like freaks.

    I hear ya bout the freaks on CL. I was renting my spare room for awhile and ended up with two porn stars. Check out Jessie Jorden, she's the half Asian spinner, she moved out two months ago. Didn't know she was a porn star til she was moving out.

    You shouldn't have too much trouble finding someone to move in with, and its a lot cheaper.
    I tossed her number, she's in the valley now. What gave me a clue as to her being a porn star is when friggin Ron Jeremy came to pick her up.

    GL OP, finding something reasonable in a not so shitty area in LA is hard. i failed and moved to glendale instead...but just browse online religiously for a few days, hopefully you can find a good deal.

    She stayed with me for a month and we didn't hook up. We hung out and I hooked up with her non porn star friend, but she was just a roomie. And she was an absolute slob! Came home one night drunk and passed out naked in the bathroom. Not my thing but good to look at.
