    Well this is my first post anywhere on P5s and I think I picked a good topic. I don't know of any better example of an athlete that transcended his sport than Pat Tillman. He gave up millions of dollars to fight for what he believed in. Sorry if this is not what the question was asking, but I thought this is what you meant. Even today people are still talking about him.

You prolly dont know that the accuser was a nut job that was nowhere near credible.Not to say that she couldnt have been raped.But she had slept with 3 guys i think it was within the last week. She was one of the least credible accusers ive ever seen read up on her a little bit.Maybe you shouldnt just jump to conclusions because... nvmd go ahead and jump to conclusions i forgot about all of kobes incidents.Plain and simple the guy had never been accused of anything before that except being a ballhog and a bad teammate.     Wow are you kidding only one guy mentions TO, that was the story last year. TO this TO fucking that, couldint get him off the news and he wasnt even on the field. By far took up more air time then all the others combined.

    I am picking 2 fring sports but

    Phil Taylor in darts. man is 13 time world champion. Makes over a mil ayear throwing sharp pointing things. Everyone else makes half his chedda or way less.

    Ken Climo in discgolf. 11 time world champion. No real money to be had which is why i gave the sport up besides a hobby a few years ago. Top pros are lucky to make 40k a year.
