As for my alma mater, no way they should be ranked that far behind Wisconsin after beating them in their bowl last year and returning all but one key player (Jerod Mayo, F Eric Ainge. Crompton will be an improvement). However they should not be ahead of Auburn, LSU, Georgia, or Florida

South Florida and Rutgers are way too high for mediocre teams from a shitty conference

I think Missouri and Kansas are decentbut until they beat Texas or Oklahoma they're not top 15

West Virginia needs to enjoy the ride. Noel Divine should be good enough to power that O this year but after Pat White leaves I doubt they'll have a QB to carry the load.

Oklahoma is top a top 5 team 11 months of the year (just not january)

Florida's O should be great, but their D has to improve greatly to be considered #1

I think Florida at #1 is kind of a joke. This team lost FIVE games last year, just dont see how they can improve that much over a summer to go undefeated or only lose 1 game this year, esp in the SEC.
Agree with Clemson underachieving. This team is always hyped preseason, find a way to go 6-0 and then go 2-3 the last few games of the year.

If Illinois can get consistent play out of Juice Williams they are gonna be damn good, Zook has another huge class coming in

I dunno about Illinois

1) No team coached by Ron Zook will ever be good

2) No matter who he brings in, you can't replace Rashard Mendenhall

I absolutely love college football, but in my humble opinion preseason rankings are never good

A team who may have been on the cusp of a top 25 preseason ranking has to play even better to get some respect in some cases, and a team who is ranked in top 5 or ten always ends up unranked it seems after 3 or 4 losses..I know people in general enjoy them or the would not make them, but if anyting I dont think they should be released until after the first week or right before.....however from a marketing standpoint it makes sense since it can spark a legit college football discussion in May or June :)
