Keeping around the crying blogger and the psychotic blonde seemed very much like decisions mandated by the producers.
Ben's definitely more likable than Ashley or Brad tho -
Edited By: BigEarn7 Jan 3rd, 2012 at 08:17 AMNice man, glad you're on board. I just surf the web and shit while I watch it too. Some buddies of mine actually watched the first ep and had a draft, sucks I missed out on that.Originally Posted by TheAlbatross

Keeping those 2 around was dumb for sure, I wonder how much of it is truly scripted to be honest.
Ben seems like a good guy, I like him. Brad went crazy as fuck on that hottie Emily from last year, I guess he would call her like 24/7 begging her to give him another chance. I never really liked that guy and she was a total dime. -

Haven't watched the premiere yet, but I was doing cartwheels when I saw the chick from Caesars Palace commercial is on this season. I'm obsessed with this commercial:

That chick is on this season (Courtney). Am I the only one who thinks she's an escort in that commercial? She's hanging out in the middle of the day in a high end men's clothing store, dressed in a formal dress, looking for some high roller to take out to fancy dinners, then front row tickets to see Cher, then at the end of the night she goes back up to his room without ever saying a word all day? Come on, she's working in that commercial, right? Did her agent actually read the script before booking her this thing?
So now the Caesars Palace prostitute is trying to find a husband. Brings new meaning to turning a ho into a housewife. -
Not only do I watch it, I get in a $10 bracket with my wife and her friends, DVR it, and look for spoilers at realitysteve dot com because I get so excited.

Theis season is going to be awesome. DRAMMMMA
Reason: no homo either though -
I could not tell u the last time I missed an episode of The Bachelor or Bachelorette. I thought Ben was gonna suck in the role but I think he carried himself well. Definitely more crying in the season preview than I have seen in the past but this is certainly the best cast of women I have ever seen on the show. Nicki, Jamie, and Kacie B r my picks for at least 2 of the 3 to get a hometown. I'm sure like every season the Bach already has his list of contenders so since they need to carry so many people over they just take the bat shit one which drives discussion for the show in the media. It's too bad too because the psycho usually brings a contender down with their own demise.

She is the worst man. If you watch the last 5 minutes they show highlights from the season and its Courtney just being crazy and playing hard ball. She sucks so bad too, her personality is shit and all she talks about is her being a model and her life being so hard having to fly all over the world, lol. Easily my least fav on the show but she will go real far I am sure. -
Link to an official release saying it is scripted and pre-determined please?
-
It's not scripted and predetermined, but it's as contrived and manipulated by producers as reality game shows get. I'd suggest reading Reality Steve during the season to get a better glimpse into how the show works (granted they have spoilers). Plus his recaps are very funny, so it makes watching the show a lot more enjoyable anyway.

I thought all the girls were supposed to be hot?
-
people actually watch this fucking horseshit?
-
Very weird, but I do see where you are coming from. Like I said above, there's only a true few contenders that are kept on with the chance of love, and then the rest are gonna be a few pretty faces or psychos that will help drive ratings and create storylines and discussion. That's how it looks rigged when you think to yourself, how in the world did that person get picked. They trust in their system of maintaining ratings so I won't complain with it, I enjoy the product they produce.

I just wanna know if any relationship formed on the bachelor or bachelorette has ever resulted in "true love" or whatever? I have never seen an episode but all i hear is "The bachelor's Joe Shmoe and Sally Slut have ended things abruptly etc."
I know they wanna stay relevant and get some publicity.. But to say this show is to find true love is like saying the real world is actually about the real world. -
Edited By: Mkind16 Jan 4th, 2012 at 03:44 PMReality Steve said they never slept together. The producers are assigned to each girl and their job is to get them to give good TV sound bytes by any (reasonable) means necessary. This generally means they may have to flirt to get them to open up.Originally Posted by ntanygd760

This also happened 2 years ago during Jake Pavelka's season, although the rumor is that the girl and the producer were caught cuddling in the house or something. This year, the girl supposedly volunteered to leave the show because she liked the producer more than Ben.
The only successful couple the show produced was Trista/Ryan. They produced one other marriage (Jason/Molly), although Molly was technically the runner up that year. The only other couple still out there is Ashley/JP from last year. I'm pretty sure this is like the 22nd or 23rd season of the show, so the numbers are pretty miserable.Originally Posted by ACgaming
