Bank Error In Your Favor - FTP Wants their $$$ back

    I cashed off $750 from ftp, but ended up having to cancel the check after it got returned to sender. FTP redeposited the money in my account, and I withdrew $775 this time. I got the check and then got emails from ftp.

    The emails said they were giving me $50 per check (100 total) for the inconvenience and they redeposited the 775 and 750 back in my account.

    They already gave me the 750 back when I cancelled the check..

    After fist pumps and some brag calls, I insta played a quick sesh on the new money and then cashed out $1600. After talking to my best friend tho, I realize morally I definitely can't keep the money. Integrity def worth more than $800 (750 + 50 inconvenience fee). I just sent ftp an email alerting them of the error.

    yep they will probably charge him interest over the 3 months its going to take to get an email replay, then shut down his account for playing with the funds, lol

    anytime the bank makes an error in your favor, keep the money. you'll be glad you did when they make another error and don't give a crap.

    If a gambling site or casino makes a money error in my favor I'm cashing that puppy in no questions asked. That's pretty much one of the only situations where I'd keep the money as I always give back money at gas stations and fast food places (amongst other places) when I receive too much change.

    The whole reason this even started is because ftp said there was a problem with the 3rd party processor, and the check was going to bounce. Well, I checked my account this morning, and it went through just like regular.. So that means there is ANOTHER $775 that I have to tell them to remove from my account..

    so they credited your account with

    750 2x

    and 775 2x

    not including any extra 'convenience' charges. You told them about 1 charge seems like they could stand to lose the other. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me imho.

    I got the message about the bad 3rd party processor saying the check was gonna bounce 3 days after I cashed my check. I never got a good faith payment from them tho...

    actually I got $50 for the inconvenience of a bad check that I wasn't even supposed to get in the first place + 50 good will. Plus the legit free $50 for the bad check that I did get..

    So $150 free i suppose.

    No it was bad. 3 days after I cashed the check I got the email from them saying it was bad and they redeposited the amount back in my account. I just got a letter in the mail from bank acknowledging check is bad and I have a $5 bank charge for it.

    They never gave me any money for the hassle. They only said they would refund me any bank fees I would get, but Im not gonna send proof over 5 bucks.

    I want a free $50 :(

    Yeah, approximately 0% chance I would ever re-deposit the $700. I wouldn't even redeposit $50 for those sons-a-bitches.

    I'd just take my $700, the blacklist on FTP that comes along with it, and go on with my life.
