Going to see him speak at Boston University tonight. Thoughts? Anyone else going? Should I blaze before or after?
-
before and after
-
I could listen to him talk for weeks................
-
He's a good speaker? He must be intelligent... lots of people seem to like him.
-
great speaker, very charismatic........... amazing.
which is great compliment from a republican.... -
I get the great / horrible feeling that his entire campaign is going to be Kennedy-esque. I'm not nearly as liberal as most of the town that I grew up in, or even the city I currently live in - but he is a damn good speaker. Hope he doesn't get shot :(
-
He's very clean.
-
Compliment him on the size of his American penis. I heard you could raise a flag on that mofo.
-
He's very clean and articlulate. And his head is relatively nap-free. Perhaps our first Halfrican-American Prez?
-
this guy is brilliant
-
yah, he talked on my campus last saturday... i didn't go, but apparetnly everyone that did loved it.
it was fun launching water balloons at the 1,000's of cars passing by to try and find parking though -
Please pull the fire alarm. that would be the most interesting thing that would happen.
-
Flame me hard...
I am not voting for anyone with a Muslim background in todays times.....
Edit: If he is the democratic nominee this will be a huge issue and would be a main reason he is not elected. BTW, more people agree with me on this than will care to admit... -
ignorance must be a bliss...
-
How's that life of living in fear going for you Preston?
-
When you have kids you tend to think about more than yourself.
Its not fear, its reality. -
ummm, right. So you are saying if Obama became president, his Muslim background puts your kids in jeapordy? What in the shitty fuck is that about?
-
So, when are you shipping out, Private Preston?
-
I think he's dreamy
preston not obama -
And that is your right to vote (or not vote) for a person for any reason that you see fit Preston.
Please bear in mind that the same people that gave you the right to cast that vote also gave Obama the right to practice whatever religion he chooses
I am no religion expert, but I am confident that it would not be hard to some fault in all religions, and to find a lot of good in the same ones. Do you not feel that the terrorist acts that we have witnessed were carried out by extremists and do not represent the feelings of that religion's general followers? -
lol, I thought it said "mormon" at first. Can't decide which is funnier.
No offense Steve Young. -
Preston, the only thing I can flame you for is listening to Fox "News" and yet another piece of misinformation they have sunk into your head (and many others too unfortunately). Obama never has been muslim, and that story has been debunked many times. It is so sad that so many Americans go around with false information drilled into their heads by Fox "News" and trust it as gospel.

During the March 1 Morning Show segment, in which Moy stated that, according to her source, Obama "flat-out lied" about his upbringing, Rodgers also asserted that Obama's campaign denied the InsightMag.com madrassa story by falsely saying that the school Obama attended in Indonesia was "a very conventional Catholic school." In fact, in addition to writing in The Audacity of Hope: Thoughts on Reclaiming the American Dream (Crown, October 2006) that he was "sent first to a neighborhood Catholic school and then to a predominantly Muslim school," on January 23, Obama released a statement denying the InsightMag.com story, and stating that, while in Indonesia, Obama was sent "to two years of Catholic school, as well as two years of public school." From his statement:
<BLOCKQUOTE>
All of the claims about Senator Obama's faith and education raised in the Insight Magazine story and repeated on Fox News are false. Senator Obama was raised in a secular household in Indonesia by his stepfather and mother. Obama's stepfather worked for a U.S. oil company, and sent his stepson to two years of Catholic school, as well as two years of public school. As Obama described it, "Without the money to go to the international school that most expatriate children attended, I went to local Indonesian schools and ran the streets with the children of farmers, servants, tailors, and clerks." [The Audacity of Hope, p. 274]
To be clear, Senator Obama has never been a Muslim, was not raised a Muslim, and is a committed Christian who attends the United Church of Christ in Chicago. Furthermore, the Indonesian school Obama attended in Jakarta is a public school that is not and never has been a Madrassa.

Host Brit Hume made a similar claim during the "Political Grapevine" segment on the March 15 edition of Fox News' Special Report. He suggested that a March 15 Los Angeles Times article about Obama's "personal background in both Christianity and Islam" as a child in Indonesia contradicted Obama's previous statements. But contrary to Hume's suggestion, both the claim that Obama "took Muslim religious classes in school" and the claim that he "was registered as a Muslim" in primary school were previously known, and neither contradicts what Obama has said on the issue of his religion. -
If we live in a country that is supposed to have a clearly defined sparation of church and state, then why is it ok for our current president to name drop with GOD like its his job? I think it would do the country as a whole a lot of good to hear opinions from somebody that isn't a WASP. And fwiw I am a WASP myself.

The only morons here are the ones who would consider voting for a person with a Muslim background in todays times.
This isnt about rasicm at all. This is about whats best for this country. You guys all flame the religious right but are so tolerant of the Muslim extremists.(no reference to barack)
Do you not see your flawed logic.
The problem is you all are thinking that america is so open to all races that we can elect
Let me get this right....in 2 years some of you want a man with a muslim background to be the most powerful man in the world.
Oh shit, we are fucked.
EDIT: He did have a muslim background. I can pull links but have to go to work. Find them yourself. Not saying he was very much into the religion. I would rather not take the chance to see which religion he actually supports. -
Private Preston, are you shipping off soon?
