  1. I heard from some people in the industry that Barbaro won't be running in the Preakness, they will point for the Belmont next. There is no $5 million bonus this year, so there is no need to push him. I hope they change their mind.

His Derby was the most impressive performance many are saying since Secretariat. Secretariat was a freak, he ran all 6 1/4 miles of the Derby faster then the one previous, he was running faster at the end of the race then he was at the beginning. The only horse that has ever done it.

Barbaro, ran the last 1/4 mile almost as fast as Secretariat, despite being near the front, which made it impressive. No other horse has run it faster since Secretariat. There has also been only one horse that has ever won the Derby as a May foal, that was Northern Dancer, who held the track record until Secretariat. Barbaro was almost a May Foal, he was foaled Apr 29th. He could be freak jr.
  2. THAT WOULD BE A BID DISSAPOINTMENT IF HE DIDNT RUN IN THE PREAKNESS.I KNO HE HAD A LONG LAYOFF PRIOR TO THE DERBY.DO THEY THINK 2 WEEKS IS TO SOON TO RUN HIM OR WHAT? REGARDLESS,YOUR NOT GOING TO GET 7 TO 1 ODDS IF HE DOES RUN BUT ITS A REAL NICE HORSE.THE TRAINER MIKE MATZ ACTUALLY GRADUATED FROM GOV MIFFLIN HS IN SHILLINGTON BERKS COUNTY A FEW MILES UP THE ROAD FROM ME.GOOD HORSEEEEE
  3. He will run all three races, I can guarantee you. The real money in horse racing is the stud fees that the horse brings after it is finished racing, if he is a triple crown winner, that 5 million dollar bonus will look like pennies after a few million dollar mares come....
