Don't really remember, but probably; for a while the Yanks were getting hit a lot. I remember Michael Kay telling the story a few years ago on the radio and I was just rolling.
-
What's up with Nova hitting Escobar twice today? Is there a history there? Nova seemed to have good control.
-
Blue Jays fucking suck
-
Not sure - I don't think he's faced him more than a few times; maybe something from carribean winter ball, or an international tourney where Cuba played D.R.?
-
Pirates going to get no hit by the padres. Damn.
-
Digging these old Texas Rangers uniforms; the blueish ones the St. Louis Cardinals wore the other day were fucking awesome as well.
-
Machado yawn. Next couple of years are going to be bringing a bunch of new talent to the majors. Who is the next stud call up?
-
Probably that kid the dodgers have.
-
Ya not sure what they are waiting on. I thought they were going to call him up back in June(I think it was) there was talk anyways. That KC line up is getting pretty fun to watch and I can't wait to see him in the middle of it.

Dodgers fill-in announcer Eric Collins (Scully doesn't do games east of Arizona) did everything he could to jinx Capuano. Said about 100 times that the no-no was in progress (I get it you have to tell the people what is going on but once is good enough) and then 10 times during Reyes' AB how much he's struggling from the right side and isn't comfortable swinging the bat right now. Of course the next pitch is a line drive hit to center. FUCK YOU ERIC COLLINS! FUCK YOU! Wish Scully could live forever, because all of our other fucktard announcers are unbearable to listen to.

Cueto is running unreal good today. 5 innings, only 3 strikeouts and 8 flyouts. somehow has only given up 1 hit and no runs but it is going to catch up to him sooner or later. You just CAN'T allow guys to hit it in the air as often as he does, we all know strikeouts is where it's at. Luckily, only facing the Cubs today, anyone of us could do this against them.

MBN to run so good

robbie Cano has a decent case for MVP after trout. 2nd in war, career high in obp and walks as well as playing a "premium" position well. 25 jacks and should send with 30-35 which would also be a career high. If Angels miss playoffs (fair or unfair) he's got a good shot at getting it. -
Finally a good start for Lester: 6.0, 3 H, 2 BB, 1 ER, 12 K. Would like to see more than 6 innings but I'll take anything positive the way he's been since last September.
-
Flyballs are less likely to be hits.

Also, obligatory Neil Walker blurb coming today after he goes for 5 hits.

Any chance Chipper has second thoughts? That's a pretty fucking high OBP for a guy looking to hang em up. I can't imagine that there couldn't be a situation where he can DH 100-110 games if he's willing to play for a different franchise.

Francona seemed to be acting like he wouldn't be shocked -
Frank Francisco is a gem.
-
Yeah he should play another year he's still pretty damn good

oh and lol angels -
Is this real?
Catcher practically stands for the waste pitch, and he fucking throws it right down broadway.
if the Mets blow this, I'm done betting baseball forever -
3 1 count to Bourn and he almost hit him in the jaw.
-
I can still say lolmets even though they won. JFC
-
I'm stunned Johnson didn't fire that into right field

Man Chipper is just awesome. His line since he turned 35: .304/.402/.506. He's gonna waltz into the HOF.
