your definition of shit year differs from mine. it was not on par with his other seasons, but he has finished strong enough to be far from shit. Your boy, on the other hand, took a massive dump on his season going from MVP to WTF down the stretch. He still ends up with better numbers than Pedroia, but let's all acknowledge that the Yankees' slump/potential collapse is entirely his fault.

When pedroia isn't busy throwing his manager under the bus he's missing games for "maternity leave". A real champion there. All the intangibles. He just loves to get his uniform dirty. 2nd in the al in war is apparently a "collapse" okay smart guy.

July: Cano 0.9 (38th), Pedroia 0.3 (149th, missed 10 games)
August: Cano 1.1 (30th), Pedrioa 1.6 (6th)
September: Cano 0.4 (54th), Pedroia 0.9 (5th)
The fact that Cano is #2 in the AL for the year just helps support what I said above, that he was having an MVP season and then shit the bed down the stretch, where Pedroia started badly, finished strong, yet still behind Cano. -

Ryan Braun is never winning the NL MVP after last year. Fernando Rodney's season is probably the biggest fluke in baseball history since Brady Anderson hitting 50+ HRs in 1997.
