Cabrera's gonna win triple crown. Angels are still a 3rd place team.

He's not gonna win the triple crown, and defense and baserunning do matter.

No idea, that's why I asked. I have barely followed baseball this season and don't even know who the other contenders are. I have watched some Angels games in large part due to Trout but I don't know anything about rest of league other than Redsox.

You made me look. He doesn't lead in any of the 3 cats right now and is 5 home runs behind Hamilton

home runs are going to be the toughest one for him. Imo he wins the batting title and probably leads in rbi, assuming the Rangers somewhat shut Hamilton down if they clinch early. Trout is hurt by the fact that there are so many other guys on the Angels having great years, and the fact that they are playing better since he's been sucking. Fielder is the only other offensive player on the Tigers worth anything.
  6. Rangers/Rays.....believe Oswalt on mound today..Longoria better not dig in too hard, payback for head shot on Josh.

Still MVP with his recent slump and Angels out of playoffs for now? (12 for his last 57)

Yes, and it shouldn't be close

    Austin Jackson tho
  10. Jeremy Guthrie has molested the ChiSox the last month. 3 starts, 23 2/3 IP, 0 ER, 13 H. Good thing Detroit is just as worthless. They're coming to the Cell for a 4 game set starting tomorrow. Could make or break the season for one of these teams. Sox will retain at least a 1 game lead coming in.

    AL Central folks!

I didn't realize Verlander was that good a baserunner.

Hip flexor, they hope to start him Tuesday against Arizona. Big break for SF, Kershaw is a beast against them.
