  1. Does the amount of replies play a factor in whether you open the thread or not???
  2. Yeah, it can. If a thread has too many replies, I'll sometimes skip it entirely just because it's too much to wade through. Sometimes if an uninteresting-looking thread has numerous replies, I'll open it to see what the hype is all about.
  3. I just read every single thread.
  4. I also look for who the Author of said title is. Some peoples posts I just will not open. We are waiting for Cal to come up with a "Block Author" button.
  5. Usually if an uninteresting topic'd thread has a lot of replies, it means the subject has been changed and is more than likely very interesting, pics, fights, etc, so its def. worth a click.
  6. It can. If the subject is entertaining, I will open it either way. But, if there are tons of replies, I'll click it just to see what is being said.

So, yes, it does play a factor.
  7. It can for me, if I'm in the mood to argue with a lot of people on the internet I might look for a contraversial looking thread with a lot of replies then see what the general feeling is on the topic then take the extreme other side.
  8. Who me??? You have to packin at least 5 replies before I think about clickin.

  9. Yeah it does, but I factor in the OP and the thread title more than the number of replies. There are some OTers who I will read just about any post from.
  10. Before I look at Slugger thread I jerk off so I dont premature ejaculate when I open it...
  11. i like your style jtown.
  12. lol

I just pulled a jtown in the South Carolina Redemption thread for the hell of it because I am bored as shit! But that's how I am, too. If I only have a few minutes, then I read threads I feel I can contribute to, mostly sports threads. But if I am extra bored, I'll open the threads I think will be controversial just to see what's going down.

I don't know why but I still open ever WAR thread and it really needs to stop.
  13. it helps me choose which one to open first

but i usually read them all
  14. i never open a thread created by someone who replies "first" in someone elses thread

  15. Yeah as some others have said I'm usually more inclined to read threads with fewer replies, unless the topic really grabs my attn.
  16. I won't open a thread that has less then 15 responses, unless it is a brand new thread....(of course this is unless the thread title grabs my attn, which doesn't happen very often b/c of my ADHD) also, if a thread has an overwhelming amount of responses I will open it but then just read paticular OT'ers replys that I like and skim the rest...except for WAR's recent health inspection one...I read all of that...very rare for me.
  17. I think WAR is one of the best posters in OT. Real Talk

  18. Two-level filter...look at the topic and skip those that I don't have any interest in...if it passes that inspection, then I look at the number of replies. The bigger the number the more interesting it has to be in order for me to open it.
  19. yes
