    Not much of a gamer but I went and got a Wii yesterday just for the fuck of it. Any tips on the best games for the system?

    You mean Wii sports?

    Mario Galaxy is the best game, followed by Resident Evil 4 followed by Metroid.

    Have they made any Tennis games for this yet (other then Wii Sports)? Me and my stepdad have mastered the tennis on Wii sports and its no longer fun.

    have you guys played the guitar hero 3 on wii? I'm 99% sure I'm going to get it after xmas, but wanted an informed opinion first. I know the controller is different because you have to actually put a wiimote in the guitar. I was just wondering if anyone has had any problems with either the game or the guitar on the wii.

    also, I read there is actual onine gameplay for the wii but only vs 1 specific opponent each time you connect (like no lobby or community area). and finally I heard that there will be downloadable songs available for the wii, but not as of yet.

    any opinions, corrections or basically and info would be great guys, thanks.

    question re: resident evil.... is it all 1st person? my friend got it and said he only played like the first 10 mins, but it was all like 1st person shooter format. he said you dont even see your weapon or anything. is the whole game that way, and if so, is it still worth a buy?

    I have owned GH2 on playstation, GH3 on xbox, and played GH3 on my friends Wii and they are all basically the same. If you can play one you can play em all.

    There are two resident evil games out. Resident Evil 4 is a gamecube port that went to PS2, and now went to Wii. It is an over the shoulder view, and you can see part of your character along with the gun in his hand.

    There is also the new Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, which is an on the rails shooter, meaning you don't control your character, it just takes you around and you shoot at the zombies on the screen. It is like the arcade gun shooters from the late 90s like House of the Dead and such, but unlike most on the rails shooters, it is very long, 20+ hours, where most of them are like an hour each.

    If you are unsure about spending $50 for an on the rails shooter, may I suggest downloading from the Virtual Console a N64 game that was never released in America, but was a very very good game. It is called Sin & Punishment, and is considered one of the top 5 N64 games. It is $10 on the VC, and that should give you an idea if you like an on the rails shooter.

    Wii Sports > everything else for Wii

    Tip: Don't buy "The Bigs," you'll be addicted to it for 2 weeks and then you'll realize how much of a crappy game it is but you've already invested so much into your "Rookie Challenge" that you'll want to see it through to the end and then you'll get to the end and realize there is no end to the Rookie Challenge, it refuses to save after you win the last game of the World Series, and you'll be SOOOO PISSSSSSSED that you won't be able to play any video games for 3 weeks.

    Or so I hear.

    DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, GET GUITAR HERO 3 for Wii, unless its the only gaming system you have, and will ever have.

    The game is NOT in stereo, for some reason. It sounds like hell.

    I havent really played too many games on wii as I've been stuck on halo 3 and COD 4 but strikers is definitely a good game and the best I've played that has online play. I've heard great things about galaxy, and when smash bros and mario kart come out they will rock as well
