    Every man loves a good mob/ drug cartel movie and if you dont... well then idk what the fuck you're doing with your life.

    I can never come to the conclusion on which is the absolute best. My top five in no particular order would have to be:

    American Gangster
    Blow
    Scarface
    Donnie Briscoe
    Good Fellas

    What do yall think?

    godfather II, godfather I.

    best gang movie is blood in blood out; bound by honor

    mob movies hold up way better than gang movies imo. colors, menace, boyz in the hood etc look so dated

    honorable mention for english gang movies: rocknrolla, the one with pitt and the diamond, etc

    OP, you need to watch the Godfather movies.

    Also, the name of the film is Donnie Brasco. Briscoe was Jerry Orbach's character on Law & Order.

    I would also recommend Cassavetes' The Killing of a Chinese Bookie, but judging by the movies you like, I don't think you would enjoy that one a lot.

    mob movies are prolly my favorite genre, all movies posted here are good, but the one im really a fan of is once upon a time in america, this is prolly the 1st gansta flic i saw.

    I guess I should have precursured that I intentionally left off the god father but realistically that whole series has been whored more often than Lindsay Lohans vagina at an all night coke party. Ill reiterate ( Everyone, heir Mothers, and their unborn fetuses have seen the god father series at least 10 times a piece)

    It's funny how different people define a "mob" movie. To me, mob means Mafia

    Heat = no Mafia, just thieves
    Scarface = Cuban drug dealer/again no Mafia
    Goodfellas = about guys on the peripheral. None of the main characters are "in" the Mafia. In fact, that's part of the story.
    Blow = coke dealer who gets his supply from Columbians.
    American Gangster = black man competing with the Mafia.

    Could go on and on...
