    just wanted to remind everyone about the thread i started 5 months ago, it wasnt close then, and it definitely isnt close now. 3.5 ERA is a good .2 runs better than their nearest competitor. not only that, the jays have the hardest schedule in the league in terms of opponents runs scored. mildly impressive id say. anyway i got about 70 replies calling me a homer, which i am, but i was right, and i will be right in about 2 months when i make a uconn is clearly the #1 team in college bball thread. thats all for now. and yes i realize the jays are not making the playoffs

    I'd take the Angels for an entire pitching staff.

    ^^^^^^ clearly not aware of the jays pen. downs, carlson, frasor are amazing.

    Easily the Jays. God if they could ever put together some hitting rather than having to win every game 2-1 they'd be battling for the division.

    they have been hitting the ball since cito took over.rios, wells, overbay are killing it now that they swing at the first pitch.... the jays are like 42-27 with cito. i blame the fact there not in serious contention on gibbons. but if they win 7 more in a row there at the least 3.5 back.. so im still a believer and not writing them off completely yet..

    Not even remotely close. I saw them sweep away my Twins last week. Once the pen got in the game it was all over. And their defense is outstanding as well.

    Angels have just as good of a rotation and their backend is better

    Jose Arredondo 1.41 ERA
    Scot Shields 2.62 ERA
    K-Rod 2.49 ERA 55 saves

    I love my Jays but sadly when the bats come around next year the arms will be nowhere to be found seems to always be like that

    Glad you threw that relevant stat in, it's important that his team gets him into more save situations than other teams would.
