  1. I'm in the market for a new laptop so where's the best place to buy them nowadays? Either online or brick and mortar. Don't need anything fancy. Just need something good for internet, multi tabling, and can handle a decent porn load.
  2. Dell
    Tigerdirect
    Newegg

All depend on what you want to pay.

  7. less than 500 for a laptop, might as well shit in a box and save your money.
  8. I go through them too fast to spend any more. I know there are decent basic laptops for that some where

I prefer the i3 as a processor but the dual-core has 4gb of ram so it's a wash for basic computing.

    lololololol

Op. Do you go through them quickly bc of your own wear and tear on them. i.e. you get pissed off and punch the screen bc you can not control your emotions and don't care about wasting $500 after you just wasted $500 on your session of poker. Or is it bc you buy pos computers and they don't last long bc you spent 1/10 of what any human should pay for a computer in the first place?

If it's the former, then stop playing poker and kill yourself. If it's the latter, then buy a nice computer since you "go through them so fast"

Good call on that HP, just picked one up myself + a $30 off coupon I found. Another 2gb stick is just $20 extra...plus I have a Win 7 x64 copy. Pretty slick deal I got myself if u ask me. So what if it's already old technology in the core i sector, but whatever I'm broke. Still the i3-370 smashes all other cpus for similar prices.
  17. pay more than 500. plz? you want this to last more than 2 year correct? your basic model is garbage the day you buy it, 500 bucks could last you a life time, but you better be l337 with upgrading and hope most of your 500 bucks went to the processor. which doesn't happen. so, don't even bother with an i3, get i5 or higher, wtf is wrong with you people. a computer is an investment. you get what you pay for. im one to replace often too and i still have a better one than most of you aholes. its like a mattress, people cheap out on that too, you spend most of your time sleeping, that 2k mattress is worth every penny, cuz its lasting you at least a decade

oh and if i liked you, i could get you that comp for 150, but no, can't do that

Can you please tell me what the average computer user does that a core i3 processor (or a Core 2 duo even) can't handle? "Don't buy a cheap computer" may have been good advice 10 years ago, but today it's just not true anymore. A "basic model" computer is more than sufficient to handle everything the average person does on their computer these days and should last them several years easily.
