dwayne wade. if you disagree you havent seen him play enough. the only other plausible answer is KG
-
Does everyone forget about Timmy Duncan. I am a fan of personality (so not a fan of Duncan) but he is the greatest power forward to ever play the game.
-
Why does everyone forget about Sebastian Telfair? He had the highest PPG in the history of the NY area in HS.
-
Dwayne Wade is better than Kobe, Lebron, AI, T-Mac, and Nash??
Keep dreaming. -
I've seen D Wade play enough to realize that he's just a punk-ass Kobe wannabe

ron artest at his best is top 10, which i guess you could say about a few people but he's capable of complete domination . regardless, i'll put the first $500 into the "Hire somebody to throw a cup of beer at Ron-Ron Fund" who's in? -
No love for the reigning MVP, Stevie Nash? Amare wouldn't be anything without Nash, just look at what he did pre-Nash. Flash isn't anywhere near the best player in the league, because HE CAN'T SHOOT. Shaq is the most dominant player in the league (still), and KG is the stat king, but Bron Bron is the next Jordan--PERIOD. If any of you have been paying attention to the new season, Lebron worked on his shot all through the summer and it is showing. He was 6-7 opening night from downtown, and has since been shooting pretty well. Lebron IS and WILL BE King of the NBA. You shall all see.

your ignorance is embarrasing.
"He can't shoot" ?!?? Let me guess, around the olympics last summer you heard someone like georgle karl mention this and then you didnt watch him play a game all season. no, he is not a 3pt shooter (althoug he consistently hits them in the clutch) but he does have one of the best step back j's in the L. name a few perimeter players with better shooting percentages who take even close to the same amount of shots. this is the part where you counter with something really intelligent like, "all he does is dunk"
look at what Amare did pre-nash? LMFAO. um, well first he won ROY (straight outta HS) then he upped his avg to 20 ppg at 22 yrs old. Yeah, he was nothing. good call. and look how dirk completely fell apart without nash too.
bron worked on his shot all summer? wow, insider info. tell him I said his shoes are ugly next time youguys hang out. -
Instead of making unsubstantiated attacks on your knowledge or intelligence, I will enlighten you with some stats.
It is common knowledge Wade is not a stellar outside shooter, or anywhere close to it. Since you say I'm so ignorant, here are the numbers that back up every one of my claims, starting with Wade:
He has shot just over 100 3's in his career, making 28% of them. I didn't know taking 100 shots was so much, but if you want me to name you "a few" perimeter players with better shooting percentages with MORE shots--I will. Crymelo Anthony, HARDLY noted as being a good shooter, shoots about 30% from outside with nearly four times as many shots. With five times as many 3-point attempts, Lebron James makes 33%. Of course, those are modest comparisons, I could have included Kyle Korver (800 attempts, 40% made) or Piatkowski (2000 attempts, 40% made).
As far as Amare Stoudemire goes, the Suns won 62 games last year because of Nash, not him. They were a lottery team before he arrived, and unlike you I measure success not in PPG but contribution to a winning team. The team won 29 more games and increased 16 pgg. When Nash was out five games, the Suns lost EVERY ONE OF THEM, and they looked horrible. Needless to say, none of those guys could have had that successful a season without Nash. That is a fact. (I believe Stoudemire is one of the best big men in the league, but as it is--the Suns haven't seemed to skip a beat and look to win their division this year without Amare.)
And about Lebron: I didn't say I had any inside info. Like Jordan (and unlike Wade), he focused on his weakness during the offseason, determined to make it a strength. Well, Lebron is shooting nearly 50% from the field, 52% from three, and averaging 29 ppg in this young season. However, I still don't think he has the supporting cast to be a real contender in the East. I expect the Cavs to finish 6-10 in the conference. -
lol@ amare being nothing w/o nash.
you guys didnt watch the playoffs last year against the spurs did you?
amare dropped like 40 a game and had the greatest block in nba history.
with that said,
lebron=greatest in nba.

I specifically said Dwade isnt a 3pt shooter and then you post all 3 pt stats. He still has one of the best midrange shots in the league. His stepback j is basically his biggest weapon, you can't watch him and not know this, which is where your ignorance comes in. Of the 4 guards who had higher shooting percentages than Wade last year no one but tony parker came within 400 fga's of him. his shot improved spectacularly last year.
as for your amare comments, you said: Amare wouldn't be anything without Nash, just look at what he did pre-Nash.
well, you can slice that how you want now, but its indenfensible. and you keep citing these stats through 3 games, who cares? we all know he's the man but dont act like his 3pt fg% is gonna stay within 12 pts of that.
anyways I agree Nash is tremendous and you cant argue with Bron but for you to say D didnt work on his weaknesses and his bad shooting is common knowledge shows you just have no idea what you are talking about, so there is nothing unsubstantiated here, buy yourself the NBA package, it's worth it.
