a)Listen to on the radio
b)Watch on Tv
c)Attend in person
Buddy and I were talking about this last night. My choices were a) Baseball, b) Basketball (Football being a close second), c) Hockey (no contest IMO, lolcanada).
For worst I would go
A)football
B) Baseball
C)Basketball (I love all these sports in person but I had to pick one. I find the passion just isnt there compared to the other sports in regards to basketball) -
baseball
basketball
basketball -
hockey

watch college bball if you want passion. NBA is a bunch of robots collecting paychecks -
NFL games are shitty if u dont have an expensive ticket 100 dollars gets you behind the plate at camden yards or in the upper 10 rows of an NFL stadium. So I picked baseball.

I agree with what youre saying but I was more so talking about the fans. Went to a Lakers/Jazz playoff game a couple years ago and other than the player introductions there was no electricity in the air..

1) Baseball
2) Baseball
3) Hockey
Baseball is pretty much the only sport I listen to on the radio so its that by default. And baseball is the best sport for broadcast or otherwise. Hockey wins the see in person crown because it has the greatest disparity between TV and in person. TV hockey can be painfully boring but I doubt I've ever had a bad time at an in person game.
College basketball is like the closest of seconds too. There is nothing like a sold out CBB game where everyone is on there feet screaming the entire game. -
Baseball
Depends of what I'm betting on. The only sport I can watch without having action on it is either tennis or soccer
Used to be Hockey exclusively, then I went to a Spurs/Arsenal match...insanity. -
Hmm...from personal experience, the most fun I've had live was basketball - Hornets v. Lakers in New Orleans a few years ago when the Hornets were pretty good. As a Laker fan (obv), it was just surreal and as a reg season game, it was a playoff atmosphere since the Lakers were in town.
For radio, I'd rank 1.) Football 2.) Basketball 3.) Baseball (I'd never listen to a baseball game on the radio.)
For TV, I'd go 1.) NFL 2.) NCAAF 3.) NBA 4.) NCAAB (not including tourney time because that's a whole different monster obv) 5.) MLB (I do like baseball, I swear...just not as much as the others)
For live - 1.) Basketball 2.) Football (If you say night SEC game at Tiger Stadium, insta-jumps over basketball, but thinking of football in general here) 3.) Baseball. -
Radio = Baseball - when you are listening to the radio, you are probably doing something else, like driving or studying. Baseball games have the perfect relaxed tempo to listen to in the background, and the game is much easier to describe with words because you already know where all the players are. In football, for example, on the radio you have the listen for what yard-line the offense is on and in what formation, and even then you might not know who all is on the field. With baseball, you know who is at each position, and who is batting.

TV = Football - The game is tailor-made for television. The field is massive, so it can be tough to see the whole field if you don't have great seats. Also the weather is often shitty (don't get me wrong, I love January Steelers games more than anything, but it's not for everyone to sit outside for 3+ hours in 20 degree temperatures.) On TV, you always get a perfect view of the action.
Live = Hockey - The rink is not nearly as big as the gridiron, so it's easier to see all of the action from anywhere in the arena. It is inside, so it's always at a relatively comfortable temperature. The games are fast paced and don't last too long (around two and a half hours). The two intermissions are perfect for using the bathroom and getting more beer. In football, you only have halftime to pee and refill, and it's always a mad house. In baseball, you can leave between innings, but you will miss some of the action. -
im sifting through your 26.5k posts and going to prove once and for all that you're a liar!!!
I agree on hockey being exponentially better live than on tv, im just not all about hockey. Bring back the whALERs and we can talk -

Watch on TV = Boxing best view you will ever get.

Attend in person = Cricket, an all day Ashes match on boxing day in Melbourne is a great way to do this !!(Especially when we kick the crap out the Aussies)

ugh I fail.
