  1. For people who are mainly into good rollercoasters with a variety of designs, can any other theme park in your opinion beat Six Flags Magic Mountain?
  2. no
  3. Sorry folks, Parks closed

    Moose outside shoulda told you.....

No Six flags is the best. t has some really scary looking coasters. They have this one called goliath, that when you see your like fuuuuuuck that. But its awesome, I think its a 260 foot drop and you can almost see vegas from up there :)
  4. Six Flags Magic Mountain.

    /thread
  5. Great America is a pretty sweet place in Santa Clara, CA. Top gun is an awesome roller coaster along with Vortex.

Agreed that it's a pretty sweet place, but it just doesn't compare to SFMM.
  7. buy the fucking fast pass. so worth it.
  8. ya magic mountain has the best roller coasters...discovery kingdom up in vallejo has some decent ones also
  9. 255ft 61 degree drop. 85mph top speed. 4.5g's pulled in the spin part near the end of the ride. Goliath is a beast!
  10. Ive heard knotts berry farm is pretty decent if you don't plan on going to Six Flags.

Goliath at SF MagicMTN is amazing. Best roller coaster I have ever been on
  11. Airplane to Texas.
  12. Quick walk from the San Ysidro port of entry.

Is that a strip club or theme park?

  14. Theme park to me. Lots of cheap rides that can make your stomach a little woozy if your not up for it.

That is not a theme park because there are no roller coasters or games were you play and get stuffed animals etc..

not sure how your comments are funny, Op asked what the best theme park was. Strip clubs and bars and bars are not theme parks, I think your just making these comments to get me upset or something because they have no relevance to this thread.

I have never been to Mexico "TJ" and have no desire to ever go. There a lot of other countries that I would rather spend a vacation at then Mexico.

  19. it's not in CA, but Cedar Pointe in Sandusky, OH is the plain and simple nuts.

it's currently the single park with the most coasters.

I went to a travel camp when I was 14. Every week we would travel to a different city on the East Coast M-TH and we would visit a theme park in every city. I had never been on a roller before that summer because I was always terrified. The first week, we went to Boston, and I chickened out at Six Flags New England. I got made fun of and the second weekend I said fuck it I was gonna go on the rides with everyone else and not be a dork. We went to Ohio to see the rock and Roll HOF and the Football HOF. We stopped at Cedar Rapids. My first roller coaster ever was the Magnum XL-200. That shit was scary. Nothing I've had the balls to go on since (I've gone on every roller coaster in every park I've been in since except for Kingda-Ka at SF Great Adventure. That thing looks scary as fuck.) Scared me as much. It was probably mainly b/c it was my first one + that drop is ridiculous.

I do find that the roller coasters where your feet hang make your stomach drop less. Not a fan of that feeling at all. I enjoy the speed and adrenaline rush but despise that sickly feeling as you're stomach falls faster then the coaster itself

Knottts sucks. The only reason to go there is for Knotts Scary Farm which is awesome, but absurdly crowded
  24. I actually enjoy Knotts, has quite a few decent rides imo. It's awesome to go there around February when no one else is at the park...I've been to Magic Mountain once and it was on a weekend so one of these days I will make it back up there during a weekday and go on more than 5 rides in one day.

  25. they are no Cedar Point tho

Knotts has definitely improved over the past decade.

Definitely important to go to Magic Mountain on a day it is not crowded. I don't live too far from MM, have probably been 30 times. Last time I went I waited about 10 minutes for Goliath. Sometimes you didn't even have to get off the rides unless you wanted front row. Those are the good days! Think I went with Sirjwab from this forum on Christmas one year and it was empty too, maybe it was Christmas Eve. Don't remember, some holiday
