at least in recent memory.
I have never seen a game that stood out as much as Seattle demolishing Arizona.... granted I'm bff with a homer, but there is no way this game is close.
Seattle has Chester Pitts and Russell Okung back on the OL... I dont' think many people understand what that means to the offense.
Arizona has - Max Hall. Seattle's defense, which usually kinda produces some turnovers, is likely to pluck one from Hall's inexperienced style, under serious Seahawks' DL pressure....
Call me a bff of a homer, that's fine... if I miss I will take the heat... I just know that there is almost no chance that I miss on this.
Sounders 27 Cards 10... easily cover the 7 point spread.
Putting a 30 day self ban on the line if Seattle doesn't win by at least 7.
*self ban does not include threads having to do with international golf tournaments that occur biennially

Maybe, except the Seahawks really are a lock.
It's going to be rainy and windy tomorrow (100% chance of rain, 16-20mph winds), and Seattle has the second best run defense in the NFL. That puts the pressure on the arm of Max Hall, a rookie QB making his second start, going into Qwest and having to deal with the 12th Man. Inexperienced, mediocre QBs just don't come up here and play well. The atmosphere at Qwest is just too much for them to handle. It's going to be a bloodbath.
Seahawks 31, Cardinals 3
I don't have the balls to risk a 30 day ban, tho. heavyj has grapefruits! -
The real lock is Pittsburgh Steelers tomorrow at Miami. In the last 5-6 years of going to games (at least 20 games), I have NEVER seen the Dolphins win. I'm a fuckin jinx, and for the most part I've stopped going to games because I can't do that to my team. The only year I had season tickets was the year they went 1-15. I went to every home game except for one, the one game they won.
I'm going to this game tomorrow, so it's a guaranteed lock that Pitt will win. Not to mention they're the better team, Miami can't win at home, etc.
Bet all your money on the Steelers tomorrow... you will thank me. -
deja vu all over again lol

i might be a little bit slow (okay maybe really slow) but didnt u make this same lock last year with the same two teams? I know it was at least SEA iirc
I also know obv that this is a play on res, but maybe also a ninja play on yourself as well
Before i opened this thread I told myself I would laugh if u were on SEA for a lock of the year again
I still think they don't cover here
funny thing about this thread is that my 3 leans this week were miami, zona and jax -
I was actually just talking about this game yesterday. If i had a bookie, I would be all over seattle.

when del rio's seat is the hottest, jax finds a way to win the game to prolong the inevitable... I know those things that you keep repeating are quite convincing, but crazier things have happened -
wouldnt mind seeing Jax win to help the Chargers (were gonna have a hard time with the Pats tmrw), but they struggle when Garrard is at QB. Without him and on the road, at Arrowhead no less, cannot see how they keep it anywhere close
The SEA/AZ game could go either way -
I would bet on a collage number 1 before I bet on any Seattle team.... see ya in a month

Line moved from -7 to -6.5 from your original post until now. Clearly the OT Anti-Lock crowd is betting in full force.

good god 5 fg, 4 < 32 yards.
hold plz -
Oh lord. Arizona turns the ball over on downs, then gets the ball back because of Taunting Penalty on Seattle.
Excellent pick. While Seattle lucked into some turnovers, they also were unlucky in the red zone, so a fair final score. -
Funny how the Seahawks seem to luck into turnovers when they play at Qwest, isn't it?

well done sir

Fair enough - I don't have any stats to confirm or deny a higher turnover ratio at Qwest than other places. I do believe I read about a higher than average false start ratio for visitors in Qwest.
Causing fumbles is a skill, but fumble recovery is completely random. I didn't see the muffed punt return that lead to Seattle's only touchdown, but I would expect that would fall into the fumble recovery category.
Whatever- not trying to hate on Seattle. Even if we call that touchdown lucky, surely they should have scored six points on one of those other red zone trips, so it's a break even deal.
I took the lock and ran with it, so I'm quite happy. -
Just got back from the game... Max Hall, a 25 year old Mormon rookie making his first road start, just looked lost vs the Qwest noise... actually, the whole team did, the turnovers were unreal. Seattle offense looked pretty poor when Okung went down again, but Marshawn Lynch looks like a brilliant move so far. Hasselbeck, though, was more to blame for the sacks than the O-Line, he just refuses to get rid of the ball until he's on the ground.
I go to most of the Sounders games and Sounders>Seahawks, but the big difference is the fans. Yeah, it's louder at the Hawks games, but the level of intelligence on display is unreal. At concessions today: "Excuse me miss, do the Clams and Chips come with French Fries?"
AZ looked severely overmatched, but it's kinda sad when the best player on the field by a wide, wide margin was Olindo Mare. Guy made 8 field goals and had 3 waived off for penalties, including 2 in a row where he went 31-41-51 like it was nothing after multiple holding penalties.
More away false starts than any other stadium in the NFL since 2005 by over 20. They've got 100 since then, 2nd is 79. -
Where are false start stats tracked? I don't see it on nfl.com.

Nice lock, I have always been hesitant to ever post locks because of the potential jinx.
