Winner-Atlanta Falcons
After it looked like the demon known as Mike Vick destroyed that franchise,a rookie QB,1st year started at RB,1st year head coach almost wins the division and gets into the playoffs in the toughest division in NFL.
Loser-New York Jets
Division was gift wrapped for them once Brady goes down.Start 9-3.Lose 6 in a row to close the year playing against some of the worst teams in football. The coaching staff goofed up game after game and its players followed. -
Loser - New Orleans Saints
-
ummm dolphins and cowboys
-
Loser- Jacksonville Jaguars
-
It's clearly this.
Miami was 1-15 and won the East. The Cowboys were SuperBowl favorites or close to it Vegas wise and missed the playoffs.
Stop acting like the Jets missing the playoffs is a failure. They won 4 or 5 games last year. Noone expected them to do much either. Their season was a success also. -
Biggest loser obv. Detroit Lions. Second biggest loser, Seattle Seahawks.
-
I know I'm a homer and all for the Jets, but how can the loser be anyone but the Cowboys? Seriously, how many people said they were a Superbowl lock in the preseason?
-
The only other acceptable answer is Detroit. Not because they sucked - everyone knew they would. But due to their epic suckiness.
-
winner = miami 1-15 to 11-5 in 1 season atl close 2nd
loser = dallas , preseason nfc favorite and does make playoffs and close 2nd for detroit 0-16 -
Dolphins/Cowboys
Romo is so fucking overrated its ridiculous -
eh looks like you guys got it on lockdown, I dont even need to reply.
-
Pretty sure 0-16 is the ultimate failure. Detroit is the biggest failure even if they were the worst team from the past 5 years, 0 wins is 0 wins.
Oh, and Miami did okay. -
God damn romo played so damn bad after he came back from the injury. And he should have healed by now, so he can't blame it on that.
Felix Jones looked awesome when he played. Choice looked good the first game he played and then he sucked :(
The only thing that looked good on the cowboys team in the end of the season was the defence. -
Winner(s) - Falcons and Dolphins. We know the story on these 2, nuff said. Honorable Mention : Titans & esp Kerry Collins cause if VY was QB, would they really be 13-3 and #1 in the AFC? I don't think so, def a 10 win team, but they'd be a wild card.
Loser(s) - Broncos and Bucs (my team). From almost playoff locks for these 2 to not getting in at all. Esp the Broncos who were the run away leaders all season in that division and only needed 1 tie from their final 3 games to clinch, can't even do it. As for my Bucs, 9-3 going into December and the MNF game @ Carolina, & def in the running 4 the division and a 1st round bye. 300 rushing yards later, the team was pyscholically stunned, and never recovered. Kiffin sure knew what he was doing when he decided to bolt for UT with his son, cause he knew his D was exposed, and easily coulda been fired for how the D performed down the stretch.
Dallas is a big loser 2, and if I remember right, they traded their 1st round Pick Next Year for Roy E. Williams who was never given a chance to do anything in that offense, along with a few other picks, then signed Roy to a HUGE deal. And then there is the Lions, nuff said. -
Dallas has to be #1 even me as a giants Fan was nearly certain in the preseason they were gonna win or at least give a good shot at it
Tampa in the #2 hole 9-3 with 4 weeks to go almost certainly a playoff spot locked and proceed to go 0-4 in december
Dolphins and Falcons Tied for the most improved i can't decide which one is more impressive so i'll give the kiss your sister tie
Honourable MEntion to the colts they weren't horrendous the first few games of the year and came back to win 9
-
Broncos and Bucs were disappointments but I don't think you can make an argument that they were bigger disappointments than the Cowboys.
Detriot is a world-class failure but that was to be expected.
Falcons/Dolphins are on the other side. tough to say which one was biggeer. I think if you looked at it going into training camp the Dolphins are a bigger surprise because they didn't have Pennington yet. But when the Dolphins signed Pennington, with their schedule, I really thought they were somewhere between a 6-8 win team since they had such an easy schedule. So 11-5 is impressive but to me we were only looking at a 3-5 win swing. I thought the Falcons were headed to another 3-13/4-12 season so you have a 7 win swing there so I'm going with the Falcons. (Really not trying to take anything away from the Dolphins though) -
Just remember it was only his 2nd year as a starter and people used to say the same thing about Peyton Manning. Cant win the big game, over reated blah blah blah. And before anyone starts im not comparing Romo to Manning just comparing the situation.
